A 3-day International Educational
Technology Development Programme
(ETDP) was organized by CMS, Kanpur
Road at its huge auditorium. The Chief
Guest, Mrs Poonam Sodhi, Head,
Research, Development and Consultancy,
Council for the Indian School Certificate
Examination, New Delhi, lit the lamp of
learning to inaugurate the programme.
Around 134 Principals, educationists and
scholars from the best schools and
colleges as well as educational societies
of Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
and various states of India participated in
this programme aimed at building Total
Quality Persons who will be an asset to
society.
Prarthana Daswani,
student of class II B, CMS,
Aliganj (I) won the first
prize in both, the group and
duet dance competitions in
inter-school level Prakriti –
the Nature contest.
Divyansh, Samriddhi and Shambhavi
of CMS Mahanagar got selected in the
All India level Nationwide Biotechnology
Olympiad.

The Principal of CMS Kanpur
Road, Dr (Mrs) Vineeta Kamran
welcomed all the guests and participants
of India and abroad. The delegates from
various countries also visited the Preprimary
Resource Centre at CMS Kanpur
Road. Case-studies were presented by
the delegates and extensive discussions
were held between World Improvement
Teams (WIT) - Unity, Galaxy, Cosmos,
Enlightenment, Innovators, North Star,
Kaizen etc. All the delegates were divided
into these teams which presented case
studies on - Education for under privileged
children, Education for quality, How to
improve poor concentration etc.
Question-answer rounds were also held.

The 4-day International Education
Festival “Global TIE - Global Trends and
Innovations in Education” organized by
CMS, Rajajipuram kicked off to a flying
start at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium on
16 September 2007. Renowned
educationists from Pakistan, Nepal and
various states of India participated in
this international festival and discussed the
latest trends in education, the need for a
better system of education world wide
that can effectively meet the requirement
of the 21st century and solve the problems
being faced by students whilst also
building their confidence and preparing
them as World Citizens ready to serve
humanity. The Chief Guest, Mr Daddan
Mishra, Minister for Ayurvedic
CMS Editorial Department organised an inter-branch creative writing contest. We received a tremendous
response from the children. Due to paucity of space we cannot publish the articles. However many of these entries
are being published in the CMS Creative Talents. We heartily congratulate all the prize winners. Results:

Upon the conclusion of Global TIE
the educationists from India and abroad
said that they had to work on the idea of
World Citizenship and propagation of
Global Unity without waiting for
government policies to change. Education
and Innovations can bring about
fundamental changes in people’s attitudes
bringing them closer and tying them with
the bond of Oneness of Human Beings
and World Brotherhood. Training
programmes for teachers should also
include teaching of Universal Values and
Global Understanding.
National Cyber Olympiad
Three meritorious students of CMS,
RDSO namely Ananya Mishra, Supantho
Bhattacharya and Anurag Rathore got
selected in the All India level National
Cyber Olympiad organized by Science
Olympiad Foundation, New Delhi.
Essay writing
Raghav Pandey of CMS,
Chowk got selected for
award in essay writing by
the Royal Commonwealth
Society of London, U.K.,
following an International Commonwealth
Essay Competition.
Vipul on Radio Mirchi
Vipul Vaibhav Gaur, an ex-student of
CMS, Station Road brought laurels to the
institution by becoming a radio jockey with
Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM. This talented
young man attributes his success to the
holistic education of CMS, all his teachers
and especially, Founder-Director of CMS, Dr (Mrs)
Bharti Gandhi whose appreciation of his eloquent speech
when he as a 5 year old student helped to boost his
confidence right from the beginning.
National Cyber Olympiad

Airlines Youth Scholarship for advance
level studies at Singapore.
