May—June 2011
Spring is here at last and now comes the time that we have all looked forward
to throughout the winter. With that in mind, let me enlighten you on a few
things that are going to transpire in the immediate future.
We are entering into a contract with the Brown County Sheriff's Department to
patrol our roads and provide us security while on duty at LLPOA. They will
have the authority to issue tickets which will require the person who gets the
ticket to go to Georgetown and pay their fines. Not only a fine, but points
associated with the offense will also be added to their license. They will not be
here with the idea of writing tickets, but those offenders who are blatant in
their offense will likely be ticketed. Their primary purpose is to slow down the
traffic which is becoming unbearable. The deputies can respond to any crimes
while on duty at LLPOA and have the power to arrest as necessary. Along with
their other functions while on duty, if you are away on vacation, they will check
your residence to assure that no damage has been done to your property such
as a break-in and theft.
We will be actively pursuing a replacement for our General Manager’s position
so that we may retain operational continuity of Mr. Jackson, who has
resigned. In the meantime, the office will continue to pursue collections and
serve the needs of our members.
The Board of Trustees has a monumental task of planning for the future needs
paramount to our entire community. There are some tough decisions to be
made both by the Board and our membership if we are to maintain our
facilities. We are more than open to any and all suggestions and or ideas,
please come forward if you have some.
We have a dedicated Board who is not afraid of the work involved for LLPOA to
continue as a place where people want to live, relax, enjoy and be proud of our
community.

I am seeking a third term as a LLPOA Trustee. I would like your
support as we continue to make small steps in the sand in making
Lake Lorelei a great and wonderful place to live.
DAN VANDIVER
My name is Dan Vandiver. I am a full time resident of Lake Lorelei. I
am interested in using my skills to support our community and
uphold the rules and regulations of the Lake Lorelei Property
Owners Association. My skill set includes good verbal and written
communication skills, problem solving skills, presentation skills and
team building. My occupation is in Quality Management. I have
worked for a Fortune 100 Company where these skills were used to
work with a team of seven (7) others to identify problem areas and
implemented actions to “Turn Around” the division and make it
profitable.
GOALS for LAKE LORELEI:
• Provide consistent application of the rules and regulations and
restore confidence and trust in the LLPOA Board of Directors.
• Work to reduce costs where possible and to make Lake Lorelei a
safe, comfortable and affordable place for all of us to reside.
JANE WYMAN
I have served on the Board for a year and feel the direction of this
board is going to benefit all of the community. I believe in listening
to the members and taking all sides into consideration. Lake Lorelei
is a diverse community which provides a great opportunity to see
different ways to solve issues.

May—June 2011
The calendar date tells me it is spring, so why am I seeing snow flurries out my
window? Hopefully, as the lion roars thru the last days of March, our April
showers will bring in the May flowers. I believe we are all ready for sunshine and
warm weather.
Our Luncheon and Style Show was held on March 26, 2011 and we are happy to
announce that it was very successful. Many, many thanks to Barb Siegel and
Dianne Behm who put this all together for us. The Clubhouse was beautifully
decorated in spring colors. The delicious luncheon was prepared by Mrs. Martha
Boggs, FCCLA; and a superb job of serving was done by the Fayetteville High
School students.
Again, thanks to Brenda from Peebles Clothing Store, in Hillsboro, who worked
with Barb and Dianne coordinating our 2nd style show. All the outfits were a
beautiful spring-like sight to see and our Lake Lorelei models did a mighty fine job
strutting around in outfits that complimented each one of them. This was a very
delightful, fun filled-day with lots and lots of door prizes awarded adding an extra
treat for the winners. We suggest you to take a trip to Peebles to shop, especially
on any Tuesday and seniors get a 20% discount. Let them know you are from
Lorelei, you won’t be sorry.
Hope you have your calendars marked for our biggest upcoming event of the
year: Our Annual Plant, White Elephant and Bake Sales in the Clubhouse April
30th and May 1st. Hope to see you there. The community-wide Spring Yard Sales
are also being held that weekend. Lorelei residents may go "yard sale shopping"
on Friday evening, April 29. As always, check our sign by Security for complete
details. This is an open-to-the-public event both days.
The next Women’s Club meeting will be May 5th. Our President, Gerry Harness
announced we will be making plans to entertain as our guest the Squaws from
Lake Waynoka to our June meeting. A luncheon will be provided for all. Again
make sure you mark your calendar to come to our meeting in May and please plan
to be there in June to welcome our guests. This would be a nice time to invite
your neighbor or a friend – we always welcome new people.

The Legend of Lorelei Page 5
By Angela Organ
The time to get involved with our Lake community is now! I know several families in
the Lake and I hear a lot of complaining … but I do not see anyone trying to change
things. There are a lot of families with children under 18 here at the Lake and we
must make our voices heard. How can you complain about anything when you do not
work for change?
I have started a Parents Club. We have 3 families ... only 3 … I know there are many
more families out here at the Lake. We have plans for fundraisers, children’s events,
and family events, so please come to our meetings and get involved. You may call or
text Angela at 513-505-6600 for more info.
Also, do you know the things happening around the Lake meant to involve children?
The Women’s Club just held tryouts for their upcoming variety show. The only two
children currently in it are my children. Now I know there are many talented kids out
there in the Lake, including talent in drawing and photography, so bring them out,
encourage them to be in the variety show, what a great learning experience! Again
contact Angela and I will get you to the right person.
Also, I know everyone has heard of the PRIDE group here at the Lake; one of their
goals this year is to get children involved in their projects. Well that is never going to
happen unless we parents get involved! Let's teach our kids the value of hard work
and civic responsibility! What a great lesson, don't you agree?
Many parents bring their kids out on Halloween, July 4th, and The Kids Fishing
Tourney, but only a handful of people pull these events off, not only do they deserve
our thanks … they need our help!!
So lets get out there Parents! Come to Board Meetings! Come to Parents Club! Get
Active!
Lets get the beaches renovated, the playgrounds in top shape, the common areas user
friendly, and maybe even make the softball field usable again. What a fun thing for
both kids and adults to enjoy!
If we work together as a community, Lake Lorelei will be the most wonderful place to
live and play!
Meetings - May 11th and June 8th—7-8 pm at The Organs @ 1335 Oder (HH)
refreshments and childcare provided
We have several great ideas in the works and we need your input!
May—June 2011
Spring is here and we are anxious to do some fishing. The first Members’ Tournaments of
the season was April 5th and we had a great turnout!!
April
5
1. Mike & Clayton Reynolds 2 @ 6lb 13oz
2. Harry Sheldon & Ross 2 @ 6lb 3oz
3. Kelly Boone & Kenny Hornsby 2 @ 6lb .5oz
Big Fish: Mike & Clayton Reynolds 5lb 10oz
There will be three Open Tournaments held in 2011. Though most of the entrants are
LLPOA members, there are a few that come from outside our gates. This is the only time
that non-LLPOA member watercraft are permitted on our Lake. Rest assured, we do
verify that these competitors have valid insurance on their boats. It is a great
opportunity to show off our Lake and to raise funds for the Fish Committee. Entry forms
are available at Fisherman’s Wharf and at the Guardhouse.
• The Spring Tournament is April 30 from 7:30am to 3:30pm
• The Night Tournament is July 16 from midnight to 8am
• The Fall Tournament is October 8 from 7:30am to 3:30pm
We are again planning to have a Kids’ Tournament. This year, it is scheduled for August
6. We are switching things a bit in an effort to attract more participants … the
tournament will begin at 6pm and run until 9pm. Donations are needed for prizes—gift
cards, ball tickets, fishing equipment, and of course, cash. This is a great event for our
youth. If you can donate some of your time to help with the tournament, we would
certainly be grateful.
We have rules for fishing at Lake Lorelei, including limits and size restrictions. To better
enforce the restrictions, three wardens have been appointed with the right to inspect any
catch. All members are reminded that they are responsible for the actions of their
guests—be sure everyone knows the rules. Absolutely no “live wells” or unattended lines
are permitted ever —no exceptions. Please be cooperative with these volunteer wardens.
Violations or refusal to cooperate could result in fines or the possible loss of Lake
privileges. Don’t let that happen—let’s be respectful and have a great fishing season.
Did you know that the Fish Committee stocks Lake Lorelei with
bass at a cost of $1 per inch? That’s right, a 10 inch bass
costs $10. Remember bass are ALWAYS catch and release.
Lorelei
The Legend of Lorelei Page 9
Canada geese are probably the most adaptable and tolerant of all native waterfowl. If left
undisturbed, they will readily establish nesting territories on any suitable pond or lake.
Most people will welcome and start feeding the first pair of geese on their pond, but these geese
will soon wear out their welcome. In just a few years, a pair of geese can easily become 50 to
100 birds. The feces will foul the areas around the pond and surrounding yards and also damage
the lawn, pond, and other vegetation. Geese that are fed will lose their fear of humans and attack
adults, children, and pets during the nesting season (March through June). DO NOT FEED
GEESE. Feeding bread, corn, potato chips, popcorn, and other human food items harms the
geese and sets the scene for goose attacks on people.
Canada geese are protected under both the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act and Ohio state
law. This protection extends to the geese, goslings, nests, and eggs. Non-lethal scare and hazing
tactics, which do not harm the geese, are allowed. These tactics include: pyrotechnics, dogs,
barriers, a grid on the pond, laser pointers (at night), distress calls, or grape-flavored repellants
such as Flight Control.
LLPOA applied for and received authorization from ODNR to address our resident goose problem
at the source – the nest. We anticipate that our fishermen will be leading the effort but all
residents are encouraged to participate. The plan is simple:
• Orange flags are available at the Guard House or Office and will be used to mark active
nests
• When you locate a nest, approach with care because geese are very protective – using an
open umbrella or a leaf rake to keep an advancing goose at bay has been suggested
• Shake each egg in the nest and mark it with an “X” but do not destroy the egg – if eggs
are destroyed, the female goose will simply lay more eggs
• Mark the number of eggs on the orange flag
• When revisiting the nest, check to see if any additional eggs are present – if there are,
shake them, mark them, and update the information on the orange flag
Using this proven method, the goose will sit on the nest in an attempt to incubate the eggs. Lake
Waynoka has been using this plan for several years and successfully reduced their resident goose
population by about 75%. Now it is our turn to try.
Some suggested deterrents for adult geese are:
• Loud noises like “Shell crackers”, “Bird bangers”, and “Screamers”
• Visuals like plastic flags, bird scare balloons, mylar scare tape, and laser light pointers (at
night)
• Dogs trained to chase the geese or even life-like dog replicas
• Repellents applied to the grass to make the taste unappealing
• Landscape modification – an unmoved 6-foot wide shoreline buffer of tall native grass or
planting fescue as it has a bitter taste. Geese are attracted to grass that is heavily
fertilized

Lorelei
By John Leininger, LLPOA Treasurer
May—June 2011
Over the past months I have repeatedly heard that the Board is a group of folks that
needs to have VISION. I really cannot say I disagree with this comment but I also
must say the short time I have been on the Board much Vision has been displayed. I
know all of us have had visions of a big dredge cleaning silt from the Lake, the
Clubhouse being totally revitalized both inside and out and common areas of the Lake
being totally renewed. I have even heard visions of a senior-like center being built for
our elderly with assisted care and maybe even a teen-like center with a skateboard
park for our youth. I have heard many visionary projects over the past two years and
all are worthy but then REALITY seems to set in and the visions kind of fade away.
We, as a Board, are charged with the responsibility of maintaining LLPOA assets with
available funding by our Code. As the Treasurer, and I think our past Treasurer would
agree, the current funding available to the Board is at a break over point – meaning it
is just able to maintain our assets at a limited stationary level. Please, do not think
we are broke or bankrupt in any way, we are not, but in order to move to some
visionary type projects we, as a Board, need membership help. We need your support
and we need your ideas on how to fund much-needed projects to make this
community one of the best in Ohio.
Vision is a great thing, it creates forward movement, it creates progress, and at the
end of the day it just makes life better for all of us. In order for a vision to become a
reality, dollars must be invested and this is where visions at Lake Lorelei are being
stopped dead in their tracks. I think we all, as members, have visions for our
community but when it is time to step up to the plate and dig down in our pockets a
little bit to make visions become reality some say “no way I just live here”. All of us
need to really think about our attitudes toward our community and prioritize the
visions we want created and which ones can wait. At the end of the day, all of us,
whether a lot owner or one that has the nicest place on the Lake, will benefit
financially from visions becoming reality.
The last article I wrote addressed our Road Assessment and what a great model it was
for future projects. I think a model such as this would be a tremendous way to begin
the revitalization of needed infrastructure projects of our Lake community. We all
pulled together on the roads. Now is the time for all us to pull together again and
begin making other visions become realities.
With all of this said I wish all a wonderful upcoming summer at the Lake. I am sure
we are all ready for the warm weather. I certainly know I am.

The The Legend Legend of of Lorelei
Lorelei
The Legend of Lorelei Page 11
By Denis Behm
I don’t know how it happens, but it seems like every time I sit down to start this
article, it is either raining or snowing! I hope that when you read this, the weather is
much nicer and you have had some time to fish, ski, tube, and wakeboard or just
relax in a cove. I know I hope I will have!
Thanks to our members, boat registration started off great this year! We had about
78% compliance by April 1 st and hope that we have 100% by the Memorial Day
weekend. We are going to be checking stickers on a regular basis so make sure you
have this year’s sticker on all of your watercraft; kayaks and pedal boats included,
before you put them on the Lake. You should also be aware that we have Fish
Wardens this year. They not only have the authority to check for current stickers on
watercraft but to also check live wells and stringers to make sure our “catch and
release” policy is being followed. So please, keep what is legal and put the rest back
for another day of fishing enjoyment.
Last boating season we had some complaints about boaters not knowing when
“Sunset” was, as they were still skiing or tubing well after it. There was even one
report of someone crazy enough to ski after dark! This is not only an accident waiting
to happen but is a violation of ODNR law, that says “no person shall water-ski or be
towed on any device, or operate a vessel towing a person between sunset and
sunrise”. We all know that it is still light out for a little while after sunset, but it
becomes harder to see a downed skier or tuber! So please, abide by the times for
your safety and the safety of others and if in doubt of when Sunset is, just go to our
website. There you will see a sunrise/sunset chart for our area. You can even print it
out so you can show the kids you can’t take them for that one last run ‘cause it’s
after sunset!
Remember to be thinking about ways we can generate money to help get our main
coves dredged/excavated. The money we get from the stickers is just covering the
cost of our Lake patrol and replacing our rental docks. We hope to have some left
over this year but it will be a drop in the bucker when you realize how much it is
going to cost us to dredge out even one of the coves.
I wish you all a Safe and Fun Summer on the Lake! If we are all courteous to each
other and remember that all the coves are no-wake, we should be able to do just
that!
Planting:
• Plant seed or seedlings of warm-season
crops like tomatoes, peas, beans, sweet
corn, cucumbers, and peppers
• Sow beets, carrots, lettuce and radishes
• Plant herbs—thyme, sage, chives, basil
• Plant spring shrubs—azaleas, camellias
• Plant or sow summer annuals— phlox,
geraniums, marigolds, impatiens
Transplants become less stressed when
they are set out on a cloudy, calm day.
Strong sun and wind are hard on new
transplants, so set out plants in the late
afternoon when the wind calms down and
the plants have overnight to acclimate.
The Legend of Lorelei Page 15
By Mike Hopkins
I think almost everyone has seen the giant rock at the end of Eifel Cove near the
back gate. Besides being an impressive stone, weighing approximately 12 tons, it
has beautiful reds, greens, blacks and other various colors. It also has a very
interesting history.
On March 15, 2011, Dr. Amanda Hunt, Professor of Geology at University of Cincinnati
Clermont College along with some of her students, honored us with a visit and gave us a
brief history of this Lake Lorelei treasure. The rock was originally formed 1.5 billion years
ago. It is a metamorphic rock called gneiss. Minerals most prominent in the rock are pink
orthoclase feldspar, clear or white quartz, muscovite mica and black biotite mica or
hornblende. This gneiss formed the roots of ancient mountains in central Canada in a
mountain chain much like the present day Himalayas. This part of the mountain was
brought hundreds of miles from Canada around 120,000 to 150,000 years ago by the
Illinoisan glacial ice sheet advance. This type of rock is known as a glacier erratic because
it is out of place and found far from where it belongs.
Aside from all the technical jargon, we should realize that we have a part of Earth's history
on our doorstep. Where else can we reach out and touch something that is 1.5 billion years
old? Think of what this rock could tell us if it could talk. It was formed by tremendous heat
and pressure, shaped by earthquakes and volcanoes, and eventually picked up by a mile
high ice sheet and carried hundreds of miles to find a new home here at Lake Lorelei.
Thanks to Bill Herdman who had the vision and foresight to pursue the investigation. His
efforts and those of the Pride Committee allow us all to enjoy this beautiful piece of history.

A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph's Hospital. She
timidly asked, "Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell
me how a patient is doing?" The operator said, "I'll be glad to
help, dear. What's the name and room number of the patient?"
The grandmother in her weak voice said, "Edith Findlay, Room
302." The operator replied, "Let me put you on hold while I
check with the nurse's station for that room."
After a few minutes, the operator returned to the phone and
said, "I have good news. Her nurse just told me that Edith is
doing well. Her blood pressure is fine; her blood work just came
back normal and her doctor has scheduled her to be discharged
tomorrow." The grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful.
I was so worried. God bless you for the good news.
"The operator replied, "You're more than welcome. Is Edith your
daughter?" The grandmother said, "No, I'm Edith Findlay in
Room 302. No one tells me anything."
Why do we press harder
on the remote control
when we know the
batteries are getting
weak?
Why is that people say
they “slept like a baby”
when babies wake up like
every two hours?
Why does someone
believe you when you
say there are four billion
stars but check when you
say the paint is wet?
Spring is quickly approaching and it will soon be time to take the family outdoors. As the
weather changes, we are already working on the preparations for the 10th Annual Car
Show.
This years show will be Sunday, September 25th at the Clubhouse. For those of you who
are new to the Lake or just haven't been to our show before, it is a great family time.
Cars 1985 and older are welcome to participate. We generally have nearly 150 cars to
see. Some cars that we have are approaching the 100 years of age.
Not only is it a good time to see nice cars and spend the day out in the community, it is
also great to see the history of the automobile industry. This event is free of charge to
spectators.
This year we will be holding a special raffle (free to enter) to a member of the Lake. We
look forward to seeing you this fall at the car show.

May—June 2011
In January, 2011 the PRIDE Steering Committee met to prioritize projects for the
upcoming year. Many needs or wishes had been identified and, after independent
voting, Beach Rehabilitation was identified as the main project to be addressed during
2011. Our beaches are a major asset and need to not only be preserved but they need
to be improved. The East Beach or “Little Beach” was acknowledged as the most needy
and that effort has begun!!
The project, approved at the February LLPOA Board Meeting, is to be completed in
phases that will allow the area to remain functional for the membership throughout the
season. Phase 1, the demolition, is complete thanks to the efforts of your neighbors.
This band of residents donated their time to remove a damaged cabana, old playground
equipment, and a thorny tree. They loaded up the debris and hauled it away. It is
important to recognize the contributions of our resident experts, Mike Hopkins and
George Mason, who spearheaded the work. Their labor force consisted of: Mike Behm,
Linda Brown, Jim Dabbelt, Bob Gambrel Jr., Bill Haines, Bill Herdman, John Hollatz, Dan
Hoyle, Trina and Gary Luce, Keith Simpson, Cindi and Mike Wetzel, and Allen Williams.
Josh Walker, a local landscaper, brought in his equipment to finish up the tree removal.
Phase 2, installing proper drainage and rip-rap to prevent continuing beach erosion, is
the next step. Alternatives are being reviewed and are tentatively scheduled for early
May. PRIDE accumulated funds and contributions from the “Dollars for Hours” program
will pay to have most of this done professionally.
Other upcoming East Beach tasks will include: grading sand, installing a boardwalk,
painting the cabanas, and (when funds permit) installing decking in the cabanas.
PRIDE has two major fundraisers scheduled to continue the Beach Rehabilitation project.
The first is participation in the Lake Lorelei Spring Yard Sale and is your opportunity to
de-clutter your house while earning money for PRIDE. The second is sponsorship of the
“Family Fun Mini-Marathon” in memory of our friend Barb Grutzmacher. This is a familyfriendly
event aimed at building community and, again, earning money to benefit a
project that Barb embraced with vigor.
Please join us at PRIDE work parties and fundraisers—you will have fun!!

Recognition Linda Brown was recognized for her
contribution to the LLPOA by editing
and managing distribution of the
Legend, her service on the Board of
Trustees and her participation in the
Pride Committee.
V. General Manager Report Jerry reported that three
replacement docks have
been framed in and are
already rented.
Pride is are also selling dirt
again this year.
Had two concerns: 1) fences
around the lake especially in
the back. 2) When are the
Secondary roads going to be
done.
Bill reported that the fish
population is higher in Lake
Grunwald and would like to
change “no fishing” to “catch
and release”.
Asked that we keep the cost
of the bar codes down.
Approximately $300,000.00 have
been written off as it is uncollectible.
However, there are letters sent to
several people who owe money that
they are being taken to court to
attempt to collect funds. So far
$5440.00 has been collected and
$5300.00 has been put on a
payment plan. Hopefully we will be
collecting $30,000.
Will be discussed at the next
meeting
Contact B. Herdman or J. Dabbelt
1 – that is on the back burner as we
have no money for repair.
2- J. Dabbelt explained we used this
year’s money last year to get more
done at last year’s prices. They will
contact Brown County Asphalt to see
if we can get a deal to possibly do
some roads this year.
This will be put on next month’s
agenda for further action.
At this time, no decisions have been
made as to the cost – the Board is
looking at all options.

Lorelei
May—June 2011
Lake Lorelei is a great location for bird
watching. This spring has presented some
wonderful opportunities for the observant.
Several members reported seeing a loon on
Lake Lorelei in the vicinity of the Clubhouse.
Their excitement grew when a second one was
located and their loon mating dance began.
Could we possibly be the maternity ward for
this pair?
The common loon (Gavia immer) is anything but common. Red-eyed, with distinctive black
and white markings, the loon has a dagger-like beak that apparently is perfect for its long,
underwater fishing trips diving to depths of over 90 feet. The loon is most closely related to
primitive birds, and its soliloquy of cries can sound eerily prehistoric. It is silent in winter, but
in summer the loon is truly loquacious, with a repertoire of sounds that haunt the lake or
waterway with strange laughter-like calls, falsetto wails and strange yodeling. At night, the
effect is absolutely mesmerizing.
True to its reclusive and solitary nature, the loon prefers a secluded lake or estuary. It is very
territorial, normally with only one family to a small body of water. This bird is an excellent
swimmer and can stay underwater for long periods, but its life on land is another story; larger
than most ducks, and with its feel well toward its tail, the loon is extremely awkward and
most vulnerable on land. As a result, the loon nests as close to the water as possible, nearly
throwing itself out of the nest and into the water. Graceful in the water and in flight, they are
almost comical on take-offs and landing. Their size, solid bone structure and weight
distribution result in thrashing water take-offs that can last 100s of feet. The loon's landing is
nothing so much as a controlled crash-glide.
Common loons often migrate in loose flocks, and nearly a thousand birds have been spotted
in one day along Lake Erie. As many as 400 have put down at one time on favored inland
reservoirs.
Loons nest on large ponds or lakes. The nests are built in soil or vegetation and can be up to
two feet in diameter. Both the male and female incubate the eggs, and soon after hatching,
the young leave the nest with the parents. They learn to fly at two or three months old.

Lorelei
The Legend of Lorelei Page 33
Litter is misplaced solid waste - blown by wind and traffic and carried by water. It
travels until trapped by a curb, building or fence. Once litter has accumulated, it
invites people to add more. Often motorists and pedestrians are blamed for litter.
According to Keep America Beautiful, however, they are just two of seven primary
sources:
• Household trash at the curbside
• Dumpsters used by businesses
• Loading docks
• Construction and demolition sites
• Uncovered trucks
• Motorists
• Pedestrians
Litter is a costly problem. Some of our dues end up paying to clean up roads,
ditches, recreation areas and waterways. The act of littering can harm the
environment in many ways. Litter can cause injury to area wildlife, pose threats to
human health and is aesthetically displeasing.
When discarded as litter, human-made materials such as plastic, glass and aluminum
can cause external injury to animals or, if accidentally ingested, cause starvation or
suffocation. These objects may also become the home for disease-spreading insects
such as flies and mosquitoes.
What can you do to help?
• Set an example for others, especially children, by not littering.
• Carry a litterbag in your car, boat and on your bicycle.
• Securely cover trash containers to prevent wind or animals from spreading
litter.
• Cover and secure any vehicle, truck or trailer carrying a load. Tarps can
prevent litter from falling or blowing onto the roadside.
• When using our recreation areas make sure to leave the area clean for the
next person to enjoy.
Let’s organize and clean-up the litter at Lake Lorelei. Clean the area by your house
and the surrounding stretch of road. Adopt the recreation area down the block. It’s
our community and it’s up to all of us to make it clean.
Contact Trina (875-4700), who has offered to organize and help the volunteers who
will step up for this effort.
