Workshop, EWMA <strong>2014</strong> conference, Madrid<br />

Join the workshop on user driven innovation at the<br />

EWMA conference in Madrid to get an introduction<br />

to the topic of user driven innovation in product development<br />

and get a flavour of what the 2 day course in<br />

Copenhagen has to offer.<br />

Title: Innovation for user value creation – Trends in collaboration,<br />

empowerment and technological development.<br />

Workshop objective: Join this workshop to learn more<br />

about how different types of innovation within the healthcare<br />

sector can answer future development challenges.<br />

Whether this means user involvement or implementation<br />

of new technologies and approaches to service delivery<br />

such as assistive living technologies or eHealth, collaboration<br />

and value creation is the key for success. The workshop<br />

will answer questions as to why, when and how user<br />

driven design can add value to innovation processes and<br />

introduce different innovation models. Also the workshop<br />

will focus on how new partnerships can create new solutions<br />

The Danish Technological Institute has over 100 employees<br />

working with healthcare innovation in various areas, such as<br />

technology development, organisational development, user<br />

training in new technologies, user studies, idea generation with<br />

users (both patients and healthcare professionals), technology<br />

foresights, and product development. These training activities<br />

are led by the Business and Society Division, which works specifically<br />

with user-driven innovation projects. The team of design<br />

engineers, anthropologists, and project managers is highly experienced<br />

in technology management, occupational health, social<br />

science, design engineering, safety, and risk management in<br />

emerging health technologies.<br />
