When I first joined <strong>Arbonne</strong>, little did I know that within a matter of<br />

weeks my world would be turned upside down! The sudden loss of<br />

my first husband forced me to make some very tough decisions. I<br />

had no idea what life challenges I would face in the days ahead.<br />

For the next couple of years, my team and I climbed many mountains<br />

and traveled through countless valleys, never losing sight of the<br />

star that was lit for us to follow. I shall never forget what a rock<br />

Founder Petter Mørck and the Home Office staff were to me. Their<br />

encouragement and love kept me going and it is for this reason my<br />

<strong>Arbonne</strong> business continues to thrive.<br />

The great <strong>Arbonne</strong> products were part of the reason I joined the<br />

company. <strong>Arbonne</strong> became part of our lives because my youngest<br />

son, Phil, had very bad acne. We tried every known product,<br />

treatment and medication, in addition to visiting countless doctors;<br />

but <strong>Arbonne</strong>’s skin care line supplemented with <strong>Arbonne</strong>’s<br />

Bio-Nutria ® vitamins was the only system that made a real<br />

difference. Within a week, we were so excited to see such a<br />

noticeable change! As a licensed aesthetician and make-up artist,<br />

working with the <strong>Arbonne</strong> product line gave me a reputable niche<br />

in the skin care industry. Knowing that a company like <strong>Arbonne</strong> truly<br />

cared about the quality and integrity of their products provided me<br />

with the ingredient I craved … hope. To this day, <strong>Arbonne</strong><br />

continues to give us the very best products available in the industry<br />

by perfecting their formulas through research and development.<br />

Along with offering our Clients the best products, we are able to<br />

provide them with one of the best business plans in the network<br />

marketing industry.<br />

Eighteen years ago, <strong>Arbonne</strong> did not have the great tools and<br />

resources that are available today. When I joined the<br />

company, there were no Product Catalogues, sample packs, audio<br />

tapes, videos, brochures or posters. The few typed pages of<br />

information and basic order form (which changed frequently) were<br />

all we had to work with. Coming from a retail background as a<br />

partner in a salon and working occasionally as a “middle-aged”<br />

petite model, I found learning the “ins” and “outs” of direct sales to<br />

be a real challenge. As a single person in my 50s, believe me, I had<br />

much to learn. Although I was enthusiastic about all the new pages<br />

that were opening up in my life, one right after another, I<br />

knew that I had to get organized and set my plan down on<br />

paper. I also learned to be a good listener and used my desire<br />

to succeed to help my business grow. Before long, the hard<br />

work started paying off. I received my first Mercedes-Benz<br />

through participation in the Mercedes-Benz Cash Bonus<br />

Program in four months! I was also rewarded with a diamond<br />

ring and a trip to Puerto Vallarta. During those weeks, my<br />

team and I climbed many high mountains, falling down a few<br />

times in the process. Despite our skinned knees, we dried our<br />

tears and picked ourselves up again always mindful of the “stars”<br />

lit for us.<br />

In May 1991, I traveled to Petter’s home country of Norway,<br />

bearing a very special gift for him, his wife, Inger-Johanne,<br />

and their family — a Colorado Blue Spruce, which to this day<br />

flourishes on their family island. I told Petter that my team<br />

would build and grow as strong as this tree. Over the years,<br />

we have strived to live up to our pledge and, by September<br />

1997, my team and I completed our mission to become a<br />

Nation. Although at the time, I was very comfortable as a<br />

Regional Vice President, when <strong>Arbonne</strong> introduced the new<br />

SuccessPlan in April of 1997, my team really got fired up.<br />

With the new tools and a plan to support them, we set our<br />

goals down on paper and incorporated the plan by taking<br />

action. Within a few months, we had achieved our goal.<br />

Since <strong>Arbonne</strong> became part of my world, I feel like I have<br />

lived a charmed life. I give thanks daily for each blessing I<br />

have received. My life has been blessed with a potential<br />

to have a successful business and beautiful people<br />

whom I am grateful to have shared cherished moments with<br />

that I will forever treasure. He continues to smile upon me in<br />

so many wonderful ways. Thanks to Him I met a wonderful<br />

man — Dan de la Rosa — with whom I plan to share the rest<br />

of my life. Dan is more than my companion, he is my best<br />

friend. We are now engaged to be married. Dan is supportive<br />

… always cheering me on and constantly giving me words<br />

of encouragement. We love to dance, play golf, travel and<br />

work my <strong>Arbonne</strong> business alongside Dan’s travel business.<br />

What a wonderful lifestyle we have been blessed with!<br />

I am also grateful for two wonderful sons, Don and Phil, and<br />

their wives, Janice and Maribel, for always being there for me<br />

and always reminding me that I am the greatest mom and<br />

grandmother. You are the best and I love each of you dearly!<br />

I am thankful for all your love, support and encouragement—<br />

especially when things got tough. In memory of my parents,<br />

Harry and Hazel Hunter, who gave me roots, encouraged me<br />

to be the best I could be and taught me the importance of<br />

loving my fellow man. My father always said, “Trust in God<br />

and all things are possible.” How true this has been.<br />

In 1986, ENVP Laura Fletcher introduced me to this wonderful<br />

company and all these great products. Thank you, Laura. To<br />

my special and dear friend, ENVP Thea O’Donoghue, who<br />

encouraged me through the rough moments and laughed with<br />

me in the good times: Thanks for being there! To ENVPs<br />

Donna Johnson and Phoebe James, as well as the rest of the<br />

VP team: I extend a special thanks for always giving friendship,<br />

love and support. Rita: Thanks just does not seem<br />

enough, as I consider what you have given me — great messages,<br />

support, love and wisdom. To Petter: Thank you for<br />

having a dream and a vision for herbal and botanical skin<br />

care products, and more importantly, for having a marketing<br />

plan to support salons, spas or any individual desiring the<br />

freedom of running a home-based business. Stian: You are so<br />

special. Thank you for your support and your talent, it is greatly<br />

Last, but not least, I would like to acknowledge the awesome<br />

clinical aesthetician, who has relied on <strong>Arbonne</strong> products for<br />

the last 18 years, I can truly say that these are the best. The<br />

results of building a business around unparalleled products are<br />

both rewarding and gratifying. Working under the SuccessLine<br />

concept has allowed me the opportunity to pass on my product<br />

knowledge and business know-how to help other Consultants<br />

enhance their income through the <strong>Arbonne</strong> business plan. We<br />

succeed by helping and investing in others. It is a team effort —<br />

one for all and all for one!<br />

To the many <strong>Arbonne</strong> Consultants out there chasing their<br />

dreams of success: Have you taken the time to paint the picture<br />

of your future? If you have, try finding time to reach out and<br />

help another climb to the top of their mountain. We all deserve<br />

the right to a better life and giving a part of ourselves to help<br />

others achieve something more is one of the most rewarding<br />

experiences you will ever have. If life sometimes proves to be<br />

an uphill battle, never divert your gaze from the stars lighting<br />

your path. Do whatever it takes to build your future with full<br />

commitment and a great attitude. There will always be the<br />

challenge of climbing those many mountains. Face your fears<br />

and start climbing! Keep your eye on the plan and you will see<br />

how bright every star becomes as you reach the top!<br />
