When I first joined Arbonne, little did I know that within a matter of
weeks my world would be turned upside down! The sudden loss of
my first husband forced me to make some very tough decisions. I
had no idea what life challenges I would face in the days ahead.
For the next couple of years, my team and I climbed many mountains
and traveled through countless valleys, never losing sight of the
star that was lit for us to follow. I shall never forget what a rock
Founder Petter Mørck and the Home Office staff were to me. Their
encouragement and love kept me going and it is for this reason my
Arbonne business continues to thrive.
The great Arbonne products were part of the reason I joined the
company. Arbonne became part of our lives because my youngest
son, Phil, had very bad acne. We tried every known product,
treatment and medication, in addition to visiting countless doctors;
but Arbonne’s skin care line supplemented with Arbonne’s
Bio-Nutria ® vitamins was the only system that made a real
difference. Within a week, we were so excited to see such a
noticeable change! As a licensed aesthetician and make-up artist,
working with the Arbonne product line gave me a reputable niche
in the skin care industry. Knowing that a company like Arbonne truly
cared about the quality and integrity of their products provided me
with the ingredient I craved … hope. To this day, Arbonne
continues to give us the very best products available in the industry
by perfecting their formulas through research and development.
Along with offering our Clients the best products, we are able to
provide them with one of the best business plans in the network
marketing industry.
Eighteen years ago, Arbonne did not have the great tools and
resources that are available today. When I joined the
company, there were no Product Catalogues, sample packs, audio
tapes, videos, brochures or posters. The few typed pages of
information and basic order form (which changed frequently) were
all we had to work with. Coming from a retail background as a
partner in a salon and working occasionally as a “middle-aged”
petite model, I found learning the “ins” and “outs” of direct sales to
be a real challenge. As a single person in my 50s, believe me, I had
much to learn. Although I was enthusiastic about all the new pages

that were opening up in my life, one right after another, I
knew that I had to get organized and set my plan down on
paper. I also learned to be a good listener and used my desire
to succeed to help my business grow. Before long, the hard
work started paying off. I received my first Mercedes-Benz
through participation in the Mercedes-Benz Cash Bonus
Program in four months! I was also rewarded with a diamond
ring and a trip to Puerto Vallarta. During those weeks, my
team and I climbed many high mountains, falling down a few
times in the process. Despite our skinned knees, we dried our
tears and picked ourselves up again always mindful of the “stars”
lit for us.
In May 1991, I traveled to Petter’s home country of Norway,
bearing a very special gift for him, his wife, Inger-Johanne,
and their family — a Colorado Blue Spruce, which to this day
flourishes on their family island. I told Petter that my team
would build and grow as strong as this tree. Over the years,
we have strived to live up to our pledge and, by September
1997, my team and I completed our mission to become a
Nation. Although at the time, I was very comfortable as a
Regional Vice President, when Arbonne introduced the new
SuccessPlan in April of 1997, my team really got fired up.
With the new tools and a plan to support them, we set our
goals down on paper and incorporated the plan by taking
action. Within a few months, we had achieved our goal.
Since Arbonne became part of my world, I feel like I have
lived a charmed life. I give thanks daily for each blessing I
have received. My life has been blessed with a potential
to have a successful business and beautiful people
whom I am grateful to have shared cherished moments with
that I will forever treasure. He continues to smile upon me in
so many wonderful ways. Thanks to Him I met a wonderful
man — Dan de la Rosa — with whom I plan to share the rest
of my life. Dan is more than my companion, he is my best
friend. We are now engaged to be married. Dan is supportive
… always cheering me on and constantly giving me words
of encouragement. We love to dance, play golf, travel and
work my Arbonne business alongside Dan’s travel business.
What a wonderful lifestyle we have been blessed with!
I am also grateful for two wonderful sons, Don and Phil, and
their wives, Janice and Maribel, for always being there for me
and always reminding me that I am the greatest mom and
grandmother. You are the best and I love each of you dearly!
I am thankful for all your love, support and encouragement—
especially when things got tough. In memory of my parents,
Harry and Hazel Hunter, who gave me roots, encouraged me
to be the best I could be and taught me the importance of
loving my fellow man. My father always said, “Trust in God
and all things are possible.” How true this has been.

In 1986, ENVP Laura Fletcher introduced me to this wonderful
company and all these great products. Thank you, Laura. To
my special and dear friend, ENVP Thea O’Donoghue, who
encouraged me through the rough moments and laughed with
me in the good times: Thanks for being there! To ENVPs
Donna Johnson and Phoebe James, as well as the rest of the
VP team: I extend a special thanks for always giving friendship,
love and support. Rita: Thanks just does not seem
enough, as I consider what you have given me — great messages,
support, love and wisdom. To Petter: Thank you for
having a dream and a vision for herbal and botanical skin
care products, and more importantly, for having a marketing
plan to support salons, spas or any individual desiring the
freedom of running a home-based business. Stian: You are so
special. Thank you for your support and your talent, it is greatly

Last, but not least, I would like to acknowledge the awesome

clinical aesthetician, who has relied on Arbonne products for
the last 18 years, I can truly say that these are the best. The
results of building a business around unparalleled products are
both rewarding and gratifying. Working under the SuccessLine
concept has allowed me the opportunity to pass on my product
knowledge and business know-how to help other Consultants
enhance their income through the Arbonne business plan. We
succeed by helping and investing in others. It is a team effort —
one for all and all for one!
To the many Arbonne Consultants out there chasing their
dreams of success: Have you taken the time to paint the picture
of your future? If you have, try finding time to reach out and
help another climb to the top of their mountain. We all deserve
the right to a better life and giving a part of ourselves to help
others achieve something more is one of the most rewarding
experiences you will ever have. If life sometimes proves to be
an uphill battle, never divert your gaze from the stars lighting
your path. Do whatever it takes to build your future with full
commitment and a great attitude. There will always be the
challenge of climbing those many mountains. Face your fears
and start climbing! Keep your eye on the plan and you will see
how bright every star becomes as you reach the top!
