their friends, it’s also great exercise.
It promotes good muscle exercises
by walking the lane while holding
the extra weight of the ball, which
in turn burns fat as the muscles
flex, turn and twist with every
swinging motion made. All this exercise
is achieved without your kids
even knowing it!

Introduce your child to team play in a fun, structured environment.
A smaller scale soccer field results in modified
play with five players and a goalie on the field. Each team
will have 10 players. All games and practices will take
place at Harvester Park on the Middle Field.
Coaches: In order for this program to be successful, we
need parents to volunteer as coaches. The Park District
will provide an official for each game, but parental involvement
is essential. Soccer expertise is not required. We will
provide you with an orientation and assistance at the first
two practice meetings.
Structure: The first two weeks will consist of practices run
by the Park District. The following four weeks will be
games. Statistics & standings will not be kept. All participants
receive a participation trophy. Children should
wear appropriate safety equipment on their legs. BR WB

Floor Hockey Grades K-3
Mondays at Gower Elementary
January 14 – April 15
6:30 – 7:30pm
Fee $55 ($65)
This fun instructional program will introduce your child
to the basics of stick handling and puck control as well
as the strategy of the game. All players must wear a
mouth piece and bring a water bottle. Helmets will be
provided. Each class will consist of warm-up drills and a
pick up game. No class 1/21, 2/18, 3/25, 4/1. BR WB
During this one hour time "frame," each player will enjoy
the friendly indoor atmosphere of Willowbrook Lanes (located
on Plainfield Road, east of Rt. 83). Bumper bowling
gives kids an opportunity to be successful at bowling
without the ol' gutter ball. Rental shoes are included in
the fee. Participants are asked to bring their appetite for
a pizza party on the final day BR, WB.

Volleyball Leagues

This league focuses on the fundamental skills of volleyball
during the 1st weeks and then participants are placed on
teams for matches. All players receive a program shirt and

Sign-up as an individual or as a team! Teams will practice
on the first three nights and games start on November 18.
The season features 8-10 matches with prize giveaway
nights, playoffs, and exciting extras that cannot be found
anywhere else. The program includes a team jersey.
