<strong>of</strong> Bilaspur District, Himachal Pradesh. Chemical processing <strong>of</strong> the samples is<br />
continued.<br />
Visited Tertiary localities (Siwalik) around Haritalyangar area; Jwalamukhi<br />
Kangra Road Section and Nurpur and adjoining areas, in Bilaspur and Kangra Districts,<br />
Himachal Pradesh, respectively and collected 104 samples for palynological studies.<br />

Consulted pertinent literature to find out the existing gaps in knowledge on<br />
Siwalik sediments in the area <strong>of</strong> investigation.<br />
Tertiary localities around Jammu were visited and collected 140 samples from<br />
well measured Lower and Middle Siwalik sediments for palynological studies.<br />
Sedimentological studies were also carried jointly with a geologist from Nainital<br />
University.<br />
