magnetostratigraphic study. A standard palyn<strong>of</strong>loral model has been prepared showing<br />

vegetational changes during the Neogene Period <strong>of</strong> western Nepal and it has also been<br />

used for comparative study in other regions <strong>of</strong> Himalaya. The qualitative and quantitative<br />

analyses have added new dimensions to the interpretation <strong>of</strong> Siwalik palyn<strong>of</strong>lora in the<br />

Indian subcontinent.<br />

Critical morphotaxonomic analysis <strong>of</strong> Hyphomycetes fungi recovered from<br />

Siwalik succession <strong>of</strong> India and Nepal was carried out.<br />
