Thinnfeldia indica Fcislmantel<br />

Rajmahal Hills, Bihar, x 2.<br />
confertus, Araucarites cutchensis and Coniferocaulon sp. The floristic composition,<br />
its relationship with others and presence <strong>of</strong> index Neocomian species "Phyllopteroides<br />
laevis" suggest Neocomian age.<br />
Bartala megafloral assemblage is being investigated. Ten genera belonging to<br />
various species have been identified and the assemblage is predominated by the genus<br />
Anomozamites. Examination <strong>of</strong> Sonajori chert slides is continued and a few slides<br />
have also been prepared for detail study.<br />
Megafossils from Dhokuti locality <strong>of</strong> Rajmahal Basin show the presence <strong>of</strong><br />
Marattiopsis macrocarpa, M. reversa, Cladophlebis sp. cf. C. den/iculata, Gleichenia<br />
gleichenoides, Sphenopteris imbricata, Sphenopteris sp., P/erophyllum princeps,<br />
Pterophyllum medlicottianum, P/erophyllum kingianum, P/erophyllum morrisianum<br />
