and Carl Kress performed a guitar duo, during the famous radio broadcast of the “Swing Concert”, at New<br />

York’s Imperial Theater. A month later, McDonough recorded his second session as bandleader. In the next<br />

16 months, he led 12 sessions, resulting in a total output of 46 recordings, all for ARC. For these sessions,<br />

which provide the material for this CD, McDonough brought together some of the best musicians available,<br />

including Bunny Berigan, Artie Shaw, Adrian Rollini, Toots Mondello, Cozy Cole and Claude Thornhill. [Item Code: 64412 CD: $11.00]<br />

Gowans, Pee Wee Russell, Joe Sullivan, Eddie Condon, Al Morgan and George Wettling and concludes with<br />

1962 recordings during a period when he led the band on board the ‘Great Gleason Train,’ which Jackie<br />
