Parker Friedrich 566 Hillcrest Stephenville, Texas 76401 It’s with great pleasure that I bring you the Fourth Annual Evans Farms Production Sale and the “Texas Weekend.” In one word to describe this awesome set of females, I would have to say “immeasurable.” This offering is truly the easiest group for which I have had the opportunity to write footnotes. The quality is performance driven and the animals are worthy - so they are easy to write about. These cows make my job easy, so I love it! As I have said many times before, this dynamic herd is one of the best kept secrets in Angus today. After you have studied this sale book, and especially once you see the cattle on sale day, I feel certain you will agree. The amazing Lot 1 female is what a young donor should be. She has the four P’s: pedigree, performance, phenotype, and production - what more could you want? The donors in Lots 3 through 10 are extremely attractive and functioned as some of the foundation building blocks of this great herd. The flushes and pregnancies are consistently top of the breed genetics and show Evans Farms’ forward thinking. The Lot 2 and 47 bred heifers are as exciting as any young donors you will see this entire spring season, and both are sure to be sale day favorites. The sale is so deep that one of my favorite females is Lot 92, but there are countless Angus breed standouts like Lots 16, 18, 24, 55, 71, and several others. I really believe this group has proven itself and represents a history-making set of breed-influencing females available in one sale.
