Friends,
Although this will be our fourth female production sale, Evans Farms is excited to add
powerful bookends to create a “Texas Weekend” with Rutherford Ranches on Friday, February 29,
and Classic Oaks on Sunday, March 2. We are proud to offer 100 lots with a few from close friends
and partners, providing at least 150 head to produce a dynamic offering and hopefully an enjoyable
day. Thank you for taking the time to look over our sale book. My family enjoys the Angus business,
and our ranch remains dedicated to quality. We strive for you to be pleased with your EF females and
are again proud to offer our very best.
I have worked to create a herd to be proud of not only for my love of good cattle, but also
lay the foundation needed to be a respected seedstock supplier for years to come. Evans Farms has
been fortunate to have brought in solid females from many of your strong herds across the country.
Dennis Reed, DVM does a great job caring for our herd and its mishaps, while Brad Stroud, DVM has
been integral in accelerating both the size and quality of our program, remaining the cornerstone of
our embryo transplantation program. Evans Farms plans for the long term and will continue to grow
through large, real world contemporary groups and adding high quality donors and prospects.
Through the hard work and dedication of Aaron, Krystal, Efren, Antonio and the farming and
hay crew, we have been able to achieve more than I once thought possible. As many of you know,
I am still fairly busy with my other job and have a busy young family with ball games and recitals to
boot. We are quite fortunate to have Parker on our team as he provides invaluable experience to keep
us from “stepping in it” more often and often acts for me when I cannot be there. My family and I give
thanks to the quality people who surround us and for their amazing devotion!
We enjoy company and would love to have you drop by to evaluate our sale animals or any
of the herd, as we have been lucky enough to learn from many of yours. If we’ve done our job well,
the cattle should speak for themselves. After the Rutherford “kickoff” sale, we will have the sale cattle
available for your review by the sale barn and I’ll buy dinner. Coffee and a light breakfast will be
ready Saturday morning, with lunch in the barn prior to the females selling in sale book order. Plan for
a snappy Evans Farms’ sale to get you to Classic Oaks for dinner and the “finale.” We’ll do our best,
have fun, and stand behind our cattle - just like Grandad would have wanted! I look forward to good
cattle and a great time with friends to celebrate this first “Texas Weekend.”
Sincerely,
Efren Gonzales
