RECEIVING A MESSAGE<br />
Each time a proper message is received, the frequency<br />
display is interrupted to show information as below:<br />

• The transceiver restores the frequency display after<br />
approximately 10 seconds pass or when you press any key.<br />
• “ ” appears and stays at the bottom left of the display until<br />
you use the List function {page 78}.<br />

When a duplicate message from the same station is<br />
received, an error beep sounds. In addition, “dM” and a<br />
call sign appear on the display.<br />
• When a message to other stations is received, “oM”<br />
appears at the bottom left of the display.<br />
This transceiver beeps each time it receives a new or<br />
duplicate message. You may access Menu 1–5–3<br />
(BEEP) to change this setting. The default is “ALL”.<br />

Note:<br />
◆ This transceiver allows you to receive a message also when the<br />
SSID does not match. However, it will not return a reception<br />
acknowledgment.<br />
◆ When a message addressed to you is received, the transceiver<br />
display and keypad are illuminated. If you do not press any key in<br />
approximately 5 seconds, the light goes off.<br />
