I believe it's the administrative office of the court's term for a kind of more permanent long-term clerk position, rather than a one-year or two-year position. It's kind of open-ended. Q. Okay. She would have clerks come to me if they didn't know what they were doing. Q. Did you have any hiring authority? A. No. I helped her interview, but she had the authority. Q. Or firing authority? A. No. Q. Performance evaluations? A. No. Q. In 2008, where did you go? A. The Iowa Attorney General's Office at the Department of Transportation in Ames. Q. Why did you leave Judge Reade as the elbow law clerk? A. Mostly, because my son -- I had a boy, my second child, who was very, very disabled, and we moved closer to family. Q. Okay. And was that in Ames? A. Yes. Well, my in-laws were in Carroll, Iowa, which is about an hour from Ames. Q. Okay. And with the Iowa Attorney General, what did you do? A.
