Pleiad Compact G2 

Pleiad Compact G2 is the first model 

of a new generation of downlights. 

It is usually said that the installation 

cost and the cost of the luminaire 

are about the same. This has been 

a major factor in the development 

of G2, which translates into one of 

the quickest and easiest downlight 

installations on the market. 

The unique spring clips help the 

luminaire to self-align in the ceiling 

aperture. 

Pleiad G2 is designed for rapid installation. The detachable 

control gear box means that the downlight can still 

find sufficient space even in confined areas. No tools are 

required for installation. The specially designed assembly 

springs make installation quick and easy.

Emergency lighting box 

Emergency lighting box comprising 

both electronic section and 

batteries. The box is available 

in two sizes, depending upon 

the required operating time in 

emergency mode. The box for 

3-hour operation is jointed to 

permit installation through the 

“luminaire hole” in the suspended 

ceiling. The green diode that 

indicates charging is positioned 

in the luminaire. Class 1, IP20, F 

marked. 

Connection 

Equipped with a 0.4 m mains cable 

and multi-connector for easy 

connection to the luminaire. All 

external connections are made in 

the emergency lighting box. The 

boxes are prepared for connection 

to a control cable for eventually 

dimming. Integrated fuses in 

the terminal block for incoming 

phases (ignite and charge) create 

greater safety in the emergency 

lighting installation in the event 

of one of the emergency luminaires 

malfunctioning. 

Miscellaneous 

The boxes require specially adapted 

luminaires with HF-standard 

or HF-dim. Can be combined with 

luminaires with light sources 

13-42 W FSQ/FSM. We recommend 

a mercury light source, 

but amalgam light sources can 

also be used. Emergency lighting 

boxes 98104 and 98148 feature 

the self-test system “Autotest”.

All external connections are made in 

the box. Connections for dimming 

come as standard with the box.

Pleiad Basic is, as the name implies, a 

range of functional downlights with 

a discreet design. The luminaires 

are designed for vertically mounted 

incandescent lamps, halogen lamps 

for main voltage, low output compact 

fluorescent lamps and QL induction 

lamps. Most models are available for 

recessed mounting as well as surface 

mounting.

Parameters such as design and

of Pleiad Trend. The homogeneous 

aluminium ring contributes to the 

exclusive elegance apparent from all 

angles. The ring consists of both 

sandblasted and polished surfaces which 

enhances its design appeal. 


Trend is available in two styles; with blasted 

glass the luminaire creates harmonius 

lighting and without glass it gives a sharper 

appeal.

Pleiad Compact is a downlight designed 

for horizontally placed compact 

fluorescent lamps. It is easily installed 

and suits most environments. 

Pleiad Compact is available as 

recessed and surface mounted and is 

characterised by its compact design with 

a low depth and narrow apertures. The 

shallow recess depth accommodates 

limited ceiling voids. 

Pleiad Compact surface extends the range to areas where there is no 

suspended ceiling.

Pleiad SLD are downlights for 

horizontally placed compact fluorescent 

lamps. These luminaires meet high

time as being designed to create an

Pleiad Softline is a range of accessories that creates
