AUSTRALIA
Our subsidiary awards a Safety
Sleuth prize to employees
who introduce innovations or
procedures that improve on-site
safety.
BELGIUM
Our own “Workplace Prevention
and Protection” unit performs a
safety audit at around 150 sites
every year. The aim is to identify,
analyze and evaluate all safety
risks, and suggest solutions to
prevent and limit workplace
accidents and their consequences.
The audit fi ndings are reported
both to management and
to the client.

FRANCE
Under a nationwide agreement
with the Red Cross, employees can
receive basic fi rst aid training to
enable them not only to help their
colleagues, clients and consumers,
but also to respond to emergencies
outside the workplace.
Indicators 2005
Retention rate
For the fiscal year 2005, the retention rate
across all Group employees was 65.3%,
an improvement of 3.8% from the previous
fiscal year.
Employee Engagement Survey
According to the Sodexho Employee
Engagement Survey () conducted in October
2005 among Food and Management Services
employees, 91% of those questioned said that
they enjoyed their day-to-day work, 89% felt
that they were fulfilled in their job and 80%
believed they had a healthy work-life balance.
