The webinar will offer several examples of successful partnerships between jails and
community service providers, and will feature a conversation between a community
rape crisis advocate and a jail official. This discussion will address concerns about
the safety of advocates who work behind bars and on maintaining inmate
confidentiality. There will be a question-and-answer session at the end of the
training.
Who Should Attend:
People who work at large and small jails, community rape crisis centers, state
sexual assault coalitions, victim services, and nonprofit organizations are all
encouraged to attend. This webinar may also benefit staff from: local corrections
agencies; social and human services agencies; criminal justice and corrections
nongovernmental organizations; police and prosecutors; and governmental health,
social, and human services agencies; and criminal justice funding agencies.
