The HC 26 and HC 22 is the new top of the HC models. The HC 22 has a 547mm
scale and was designed with a slightly wider and thinner neck according to the
specifications of the European Guitar Teacher Association for ergonomically
optimized playing. Designed in the USA and Germany, other highlights include a
solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany backs and sides in a thin satin finish, dovetail neck
joint, ABS bindings, gold tuning machine heads, and D’Addario EJ27N 1/2 strings.
For over 30 years, HOHNER guitars have been used to teach the joy of music

The HOHNER HW03 is handcrafted with a Spruce top and Mahogany back
and sides. This wood combination creates a crisp texture to the overall sound
of the instrument. The smaller scale of this instrument (considered ¾ sized) is
specially designed with the younger player in mind and is highly recommended
for the players that are starting between the ages of 8-12. This model also
comes equipped with light gauge steel strings for easier fingering which is very
helpful for beginners.

Harmonicas
For many decades HOHNER
has been engaged and focused
intensively in the field of music
pedagogy. This applies not only to
training concepts for pupils and
students (which are developed
and practiced at the renowned HOHNER Conservatory
in Trossingen) but also for early musical education.
HOHNER developed beginner harmonicas specifically for
pre-school age children along with a quick and intuitive
learning program that provides musical success. The
innovative concept of the Speedy harmonica with its
colored arrows note system makes it possible to learn
whole songs in a few minutes. For our musicians of
the future, the Big River Harp or Chrometta are also
ideal starter instruments. All beginner harmonicas are
ergonomically designed with round soft edges and an
easy-care plastic comb.
Once a year,
the competition „making music in class with
the harmonica“ is held in Trossingen. A tour of
the factory gives the participating classes the
opportunity to see how their harmonica is made.

Melody Line
These recorders are primarily designed for children and young beginners. Their robust construction and easy
handling, as well as the possibility to rinse them clean in cold water, makes them ideal school instruments.
Standard models are one-piece C-Descant recorders with German or baroque fingering, and we also offer
2-piece C-Descant and 3-piece F-treble recorders made of almost unbreakable plastic.
German or baroque
fingering – what is the
difference?
You can identify fingering based on
the size of the fourth and fifth holes.
With German fingering, the fourth hole
is bigger than the fifth. With Baroque
or English fingering, the fourth hole is
smaller than the fifth. Fingering is not
determined by the double holes at the
bottom of the recorder.
One advantage of German fingering is
that the C major diatonic scale is easy to
play. Starting at the bottom with all the
holes blocked, the holes are uncovered
one at time. Simple songs can be
learned very quickly using this fingering
approach.
Baroque fingering is a little more difficult
than German fingering, though one
advantage is that half tones can be
played more precisely with Baroque
fingering.

Popular in the accordions scene today are the
HOHNER “Fun Line“ models. Numerous winners
of international accordion competitions currently
use them, for example (Jérôme Richard, Grayson
Masefield and Petar Maric).
The new “Fun Nova” accordion combines the technology of the
successful Nova button accordion with the modern design of the Fun
Line. The Fun Nova II 80 light, weighing 6.8 kg, is the lightest and
