<strong>EOI</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Empanelment</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Consultants</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Preparation</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>State</strong>-<strong>wise</strong> Energy Savings Plan / General Consultancy<br />
and <strong>for</strong> <strong>Preparation</strong> <strong>of</strong> Detail Project Reports on Waste Heat Recovery in some Selected Units <strong>of</strong> Small &<br />
Medium Enterprises (SME) Clusters along with Demonstration in a few <strong>of</strong> them<br />
Step 2: Demonstration & Knowledge Dissemination in selective Units<br />
a) Demonstrations in a single unit <strong>for</strong> some clusters may be carried out in each <strong>State</strong>. The units<br />
which have the maximum potential <strong>of</strong> waste heat recovery will be preferred <strong>for</strong><br />
demonstration. Selection <strong>of</strong> ‘Demonstration Unit’ will be done in mutual consultation <strong>of</strong><br />
BEE / SDA / Industry Association the consultant and the unit representative.<br />
b) Develop fabrication / modification <strong>of</strong> the existing structure as per the design scheme. This<br />
may include ducting, channeling, electrical and civil works.<br />
c) Trial run <strong>of</strong> the scheme and measurement <strong>of</strong> all parameters after the implementation.<br />
d) Fine tuning <strong>of</strong> the process parameters after successful utilization <strong>of</strong> the waste heat.<br />
e) Estimation <strong>of</strong> actual saving through standard empirical relations and suggest <strong>for</strong> suitable<br />
monitoring mechanism.<br />
f) <strong>Preparation</strong> <strong>of</strong> the project report with findings at each step <strong>of</strong> the project.<br />
g) Conduct workshop / training programmes to disseminate the findings <strong>of</strong> the successful<br />
demonstration on site. The consultant will also prepare a 2-page leaflet describing the<br />
project activities.<br />
The consultants will be empanelled separately <strong>for</strong> each task. Any interested consultant may apply<br />
<strong>for</strong> carrying out both the tasks or <strong>for</strong> any one <strong>of</strong> the task.<br />
5.0 TIMELINE<br />
The time period <strong>for</strong> preparation <strong>of</strong> <strong>State</strong>-<strong>wise</strong> Energy Savings Plan is approximately six months<br />
from the time <strong>of</strong> starting the task. The time period <strong>for</strong> preparation <strong>of</strong> Detail Project Reports to<br />
explore the potential <strong>of</strong> waste heat recovery in some selected units <strong>of</strong> small & medium<br />
enterprises (SME) clusters along with demonstration in a few <strong>of</strong> them is also approximately one<br />
year from the time <strong>of</strong> starting the task. However, the time period <strong>for</strong> achieving the deliverables <strong>of</strong><br />
both the tasks may vary as per the requirement <strong>of</strong> the <strong>State</strong> Governments.<br />
6.0 SELECTION PROCESS<br />
6.1 Pre-Qualification Criteria <strong>of</strong> <strong>Consultants</strong> / Consortium <strong>of</strong> <strong>Consultants</strong><br />
The Consultant interested in being considered <strong>for</strong> Task 1 must fulfil the following criteria:<br />
Should be a firm/company registered/incorporated in India.<br />
Should have at least 3 BEE Certified Energy Auditors/Energy Managers as on the date <strong>of</strong><br />
applying. A photocopy <strong>of</strong> the certificates <strong>of</strong> BEE Certified Energy Auditors/Energy<br />
Managers should be enclosed as pro<strong>of</strong>.<br />
