0-me-me's tender moan and sigh,
Came from the wood more sadly faint.
Sad broke the Morning, dim and pale,
Ti-o-to murmured on the reef;
The Sun, behind his cloudy veil,
Looked tearful with a later grief;
The Home-wind Availed along the shore,
The forest felt a shivering dread ;
Nyah-tah-wanta came no more
Nyah-tah-wanta, she was dead !
