SILVER KNIGHTS CHESS CAMP
(Ages 5-14) Spend a week playing and learning
about chess from the Silver Knights chess coaches!
Campers are broken up into groups by skill level.
Each camper receives a T-shirt and a tournament
style chess set. Activities include learning openings,
tactics, endgames, studying master games, and

PRESCHOOL AND
ELEMENTARY AGE PROGRAMS
PET TIME STORIES
(Ages 5-7) An instructor will assist each child with
writing a story or poem for his/her favorite pet or
animal. A trained companion dog will listen to each
child’s story. This is a great way to help beginner
and shy readers and writers enjoy language.

New! YOUNG ANGLER CAMP
(Ages 7-10) Learn the basics of fresh and saltwater
fishing including casting and rigging, knot tying,
selecting tackle and lures, and identifying fish.
Campers learn by example and observation, and
work on skills through repetition. All fishing gear
and lifejackets are provided. Campers should dress
to get wet, wear closed toe shoes, a hat and sun
block, and bring a packed lunch. Camp meets at
SCC and travels to private lakes, rivers and the bay.
