FIRST AID FOR DOG OWNERS
(Ages 16 & up) Knowing what to do in an emergency
can save the life of your pet. A veterinarian
will teach you how to deal with the more common
emergencies pets may encounter. You will learn
what to include in a first aid kit, and will practice
these essential skills with a demonstration animal.

HIDE TANNING
(Ages 16 & up) This strenuous, yet satisfying, class
is perfect for outdoor lovers who want to make their
own buckskin leather. You’ll learn the ancient skill
of tanning animal skins under modern and primitive
conditions using the dry-scrape, egg-tan method.
Hides tanned in this natural way are beautiful. This
class will cover all of the tanning steps needed to
transform a fresh, raw deerskin into finished leather.
Two-person teams work through the steps and
each person takes home one-half of the tanned
hide. Rain date: August 25.

Our full and half-time childcare program
provides a safe, healthy learning environment. Fulltime:
$215/week. Half-time: $189 or $165/week
depending on schedule. Call for space availability.

YEAR
(Ages 2-4) We offer a nine-month preschool program
that follows the Loudoun County school calendar.
The Virginia Department of Social Services
requires proof of current immunizations, proof of
age, and a childcare application form. Call for available
openings in current year classes.
