PIE ARTS: A CHORUS LINE
(Ages 18 & up) A Chorus Line is a 1975 musical
about Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on
a chorus line. The book was authored by James
Kirkwood, Jr. and Nicholas Dante, lyrics were written
by Edward Kleban, and music was composed
by Marvin Hamlisch. The mission of the Piedmont
Arts Foundation is to support Loudoun County,
Virginia Secondary Schools, focusing primarily on
theater arts and Drama Department supplemental

(All ages) We’re welcoming visitors of all ages (not
just seniors) to enjoy a special presentation by the
Wildlife Ambassadors at 11:00 a.m., along with
farm animals and pocket pets. A hot dog lunch will
be available at noon for a modest fee. Visitors are
asked to bring a donation for Wildlife Ambassadors.

BITWC THEATRE: THE MISS FIRECRACKER
CONTEST
(All ages) The Miss Firecracker Contest is a
comic volcano of a play erupting from Mississippi,
populated by offbeat but vital, larger-than-life
characters. Carnelle Scott, “Miss Hot Tamale”
is rehearsing furiously for the Miss Firecracker
Contest—hoping a victory will salvage her tarnished

LOVETTSVILLE CARDBOARD BOAT REGATTA
(All ages) Float, Sink or Swim? Contestants make
boats out of cardboard and tape and rely on their
inventions to keep them afloat as they travel across
the pool. The fastest boats have the opportunity to
compete in the finals. Only 12 spots are available,

GROWING STAGE CAMP: GREASE
(All ages) The Growing Stage Theatre, Inc. is a nonprofit
theatre group that has been producing camps
and workshops in Loudoun County since 1994. The
musical, “Grease” presents Rydell High’s senior
class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger
Palace Boys” and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking
“Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers,
evoking the look and sound of the 1950s. Call

THE IMMORTALS
(All ages) The Immortals are a group of teens
who have achieved amazing success in Loudoun
County. Formed from students of Frank Keims’
Loudoun Music Instruction in Lovettsville, they have
performed at Youth Fest, Rock the Field and were
even invited to play at the Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame! This will be the final concert before college
