The Institute for Alternative Energy Policy (IAEP) at the Lauder School of Government,
Diplomacy and Strategy
IAEP was established with the goal of positioning Israel as a world leader in this field. In order
to achieve this goal, IAEP helps formulate policy based on in-depth interdisciplinary research.
The technological, economic, environmental and regulatory aspects of Israeli developments in
the field of alternative energy are examined by leading experts on behalf of IAEP. IAEP has an
international think tank composed of analysts and experts in a variety of fields such as energy
economy, alternative energy policy, environment, project financing, industry and strategic
research. IAEP cooperates with the U.S. National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). IAEP
provides policymakers with analytic tools based on its research in order to formulate progressive
policy that will help promising Israeli technologies in the field of alternative energy enter the
international marketplace and take on a leading role.
