The Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy offers several exchange<br />

programs for its studants:<br />

Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University has developed a<br />

joint study and research program in counter-terrorism policy, homeland security and American<br />

domestic and foreign policy. The academic cooperation between the schools includes student<br />

exchange programs in which about 20 students from <strong>IDC</strong> <strong>Herzliya</strong> travel to Syracuse for a<br />

mini-semester. The studies include visiting U.S. government institutions in Washington,<br />

international institutions and the UN Headquarters in New York, and meeting with the local<br />

Jewish community and students on the campus. For additional information: syracuse@idc.ac.il.<br />

Singapore Management University SMU- The program is for second-year students, and<br />

gives 10 students from each school the opportunity to spend a semester at the other<br />

participating institution. Participants are selected by a special admissions committee.<br />

Participants select their courses on their own and submit them to the school for academic<br />

approval. The host institution assists students with finding accommodation. In addition, there<br />

are connections with the Israeli Embassy and other Israeli organizations in Singapore.<br />

Summer Semester in Crete, Greece- Georgetown University in the U.S., invites students from<br />

over 20 countries and over 65 academic institutions to a meeting of cultures and exchange of<br />

opinions on political, cultural and economic issues in Crete, Greece. Every year a number of<br />

students who have completed their second year of studies at the Lauder School of Government<br />

are selected to participate in the program. For additional information: www.iipes.org.<br />

Charles University, Prague, Czechoslovakia<br />

This exchange program is for second-year students. Two students from each institution spend<br />

a semester at the other institution. The participants are selected by a special admissions committee.<br />
