Tradition and future in outline<br />
As far back as 110 years ago, we were pioneers<br />
in <strong>the</strong> field of sheet metal processing.<br />
Building on this tradition, we still<br />
see ourselves today as generators of impetus<br />
and innovation—for technologies and<br />
products with a future.<br />
1889<br />
Hugo <strong>Graepel</strong> manufactures <strong>the</strong> first perforated sheets<br />
in Budapest.<br />
1908<br />
Claudius <strong>Graepel</strong> establishes a factory to manufacture<br />
and process perforated sheets in Hanover; production<br />
of <strong>the</strong> first "<strong>Graepel</strong> sieve”.<br />
1915<br />
Relocation of <strong>the</strong> plant to Halberstadt. Up to 400<br />
people produce perforated sheets, threshing machine<br />
sieves, radiator grilles and more than 40 o<strong>the</strong>r items,<br />
many of <strong>the</strong>m patented.<br />
1923<br />
<strong>Friedrich</strong> <strong>Graepel</strong> joins <strong>the</strong><br />
company.<br />
1946<br />
Following expropriation in Halberstadt, restart in<br />
western Germany, with resumption of production in<br />
Wilhelmshaven.<br />
1948<br />
Relocation to today’s site in Löningen; first apprentices<br />
begin <strong>the</strong>ir training.<br />
1953<br />
Newly developed silos for<br />
storing and drying grain<br />

Merging of <strong>the</strong> separate companies to form a public<br />
limited company. All shares are in <strong>the</strong> ownership of<br />
<strong>the</strong> <strong>Graepel</strong> family. <strong>Friedrich</strong> Claudius <strong>Graepel</strong> becomes<br />
<strong>the</strong> first sole director.<br />
