Quality: Joint After Joint
Even Fusion Force – Centerline Guidance is a balanced force
system. This patented feature is incorporated in all McElroy
fusion machines. The centerline of the pipe clamping jaw is
on the same plane as the pipe’s centerline. The force being
applied during fusion passes through the center of the pipe,
giving an equal distribution of force around the diameter of the
pipe. This results in an even, continuous bead formation.

Durability & Performance
Superior Design – McElroy prides itself on building the
toughest and longest-lasting fusion machines in the
world. With proper maintenance, many McElroy machines
built in the 1970’s are still operating today. They are
designed to be used at interfacial pressures from
15psi to 150psi (0.1MPa to 1.03MPa). For ease of use,
McElroy has incorporated many lightweight aluminum
components. Critical components such as facers, jaws and
inserts are surface-hardened so they last for years. Facers
have sealed bearings for long life and minimal maintenance.
These features combine to provide quality products that have

McElroy Socket Tooling is perfect for installing fittings and
allows you the ability to socket fuse 16mm to 125mm
( 1 ⁄ 2” to 4”) pipe.
With McElroy’s Socket Tooling Kits, you can locate and
identify a specific range of socket tooling equipment that
fits your needs, instead of ordering each piece separately.

SPIDER 125
A new way to socket fuse.
McElroy’s Spider 125 can perform socket fusion on a
variety of pipe sizes all with one lightweight and compact
device. The tool features a parallel link drive system to bring
the pipe ends and fittings toward each other evenly and
under control. A quick release chain clamp system allows
the user to quickly latch and unlatch the chain from around
the pipe or fitting.
A full assortment of heaters and heater adapters are
available for pipe sizes in the range.

Pit bull ® 26
Easy-to-use, rugged and lightweight.
McElroy’s Pit Bull ® 26 fusion machine is compact and
lightweight. The 26 incorporates McElroy’s patented Centerline
Guidance System, a semi-automatic locking cam system that
maintains force during the cooling cycle, and the ability to fit on
the Manual Fusion Machine Stand (page 10).
The 26 fusion unit includes an electric facer with balance point
handle for fast facing of pipe and reversible jaws, clamp knobs,
and levers to allow operation from either side of the machine.

Versatile, compact and full-featured.
The DynaMc ® fusion machines pack a lot of power into small
packages. They combine the robust, patented features of
standard McElroy machines into smaller units for use in tight
working environments.
McElroy offers two models of DynaMc machines in differing
size ranges. A HandPump (HP) allows for a small footprint and
features a double-action hand pump for fast carriage operation.
An Electric Pump (EP) model uses a common power unit
to move the hydraulic carriage and maintain fusion pressure.

McElroy rolling machines are known for their maneuverability,
ease of use, and quality construction. McElroy offers the most
extensive line of rolling fusion machines on the market.
Most rolling machines are available as electric or gasoline
powered models. They can be purchased with Hydraulic
Clamping, and can be converted to a Pit Bull ® carriage when
space is at a premium.

TracStar ®
machines
Self-contained and ready for any terrain.
Since 1997, McElroy’s TracStar ® machines have set the
standard for mobility and productivity in the pipe fusion
industry. The entire TracStar line is self-contained, selfpropelled,
powerful enough to pull long lengths of pipe and
can be converted to a Pit Bull ® carriage when space is limited.
Built-in electric power eliminates the need for separate
generators. With fusion capabilities from 63mm — 630mm
(2” — 24”) pipe, there’s a
TracStar for any job.

Pit Bull ®
Machines
Added flexibility when you need it.
If a smaller machine footprint is required, McElroy rolling and
tracked fusion machines feature a removable carriage known
as a Pit Bull ® . All Pit Bull machines maintain the carriagemounted,
pivoting hydraulic facer and jaws with Centerline
Guidance. For tight installations and fittings, the outer fixed jaw
and skid can be removed from the carriage converting it to a
3-jaw carriage for an even more compact fusion unit.
The Pit Bull can be powered by the fusion vehicle (Rolling or
TracStar machine) or a Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) — sold
separately for carriage-only
machine packages when no
vehicle is required.

Manual Fusion Machine Stand
The Manual Fusion Machine Stand makes
working with the Pit Bull ® 26 much easier by
expanding to a comfortable operator level.
When you are finished, it folds for easy storage
and has wheels for transporting.
PolyPorter ®
The PolyPorter can lift 63mm — 250mm
(2” — 8”) pipe. Created from the mind of
a pipeline contractor, it is an innovative
workhorse that tackles the job of handling
pipe by combining the mechanical advantage
of a dolly with the functionality of a
pipe stand, to create one of the most useful
jobsite tools.
Pipe Stands
McElroy Pipe Stands save wear and tear
on machinery, reduce strain on operators
and makes the fusion process easier. By
bringing the pipe in parallel to the machine,
it is much easier to adjust high/low
and achieve a square face-off.
Low Profile Rollers
The Low Profile Rollers are for use with
110mm — 500mm (4” — 20”) pipe.
McElroy’s rollers allow you to pull a string
of pipe around a curve and over considerable
distances. Pipe, and even the fusion
joints, slide easily through the rollers and
off the ground, keeping the pipe clean and
increasing productivity.
Heater Sling
The Heater Sling holds heaters for
easier carrying and protection. The
sling also helps the heater maintain
a constant temperature.

McElroy’s 3-Year Warranty
McElroy Manufacturing, Inc. (McElroy) warrants all products
manufactured, sold and repaired by it to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship, its obligation under
this warranty being limited to repairing or replacing at its
factory and new products, within 3 years after shipment,
with the exception of purchased items (such as electronic
devices, pumps, switches, etc.), in which case that manufacturer’s
warranty applies. Warranty applies when returned
freight is prepaid and which, upon examination, shall disclose
to have been defective. This warranty does not apply
to any product or component which has been repaired or
altered by anyone other than McElroy or has become damaged
due to misuse, negligence or casualty, or has not been
operated or maintained according to McElroy’s printed instructions
and warnings. This warranty is expressly in lieu
of all other warranties expressed or implied. The remedies
of the Buyer are the exclusive and sole remedies available
and Buyer shall not be entitled to receive any incidental or
consequential damages. Buyer waives the benefit of any
rule that disclaimer of warranty shall be construed against
McElroy and agrees that such disclaimers herein shall be
construed liberally in favor of McElroy.
