Easterday has two facilities for the
sorting and packaging of onions.
Our original location in Pasco, WA is
still the largest and is where most of
our yellow-Spanish are packed. In
2005 we started a second operation
in Othello, WA. This packing house
is where most all of Easterday’s red
and white onions are packed.
Easterday’s state of the art packing facilities
guarantees that customers receive the size of onion
they choose in a bag. The new sizing machine
pictured on your right optically sizes each onion that
passes through it’s cameras, taking a picture of each
onion 24 times. The onion then proceeds over a
weigh bridge where the perfect size onion is tipped
into the customer’s selected size and bag.
