Program Outcomes<br />

Upon successful completion <strong>of</strong> the Telecom engineering program, graduate will:<br />

• Underst<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> be able to apply principles <strong>of</strong> Telecom engineering practice <strong>and</strong> process subject to realistic<br />

constraints.<br />

• be able to analyze, document <strong>and</strong> track system requirements<br />

• be able to design, implement <strong>and</strong> maintain telecom systems<br />

• be able to verify <strong>and</strong> validate telecom system<br />

• have an awareness <strong>of</strong> current industry st<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>and</strong> practices<br />

• be able to work in one or more application domains<br />

• underst<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> apply principles <strong>of</strong> team process <strong>and</strong> project management<br />

• be capable <strong>of</strong> independent learning<br />

The Department<br />

Established in 2007, Department <strong>of</strong> Telecommunication is concerned with the theory, development <strong>and</strong> application <strong>of</strong><br />

telecommunication systems, their design <strong>and</strong> integration. The objective <strong>of</strong> the program is to provide students with a<br />

strong theoretical <strong>and</strong> practical background in field <strong>of</strong> telecommunication, along with the engineering analysis, design <strong>and</strong><br />

implementation skills necessary to work between the two. The program involves study <strong>of</strong> complete telecommunication<br />

systems, technologies running on it <strong>and</strong> how these technologies can be developed. After successful completion <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Telecommunication <strong>Engineering</strong> degree, the graduates will gain a broad range <strong>of</strong> skills in the area <strong>of</strong> telecommunication<br />

with strong analytical <strong>and</strong> critical abilities. These graduates are ready to embark upon an exciting career in a diverse range<br />

<strong>of</strong> telecommunication technology-rich companies <strong>and</strong> industries. The department <strong>of</strong>fers 4 years degree program <strong>of</strong> BSc in<br />

Telecommunication <strong>Engineering</strong>.<br />

Laboratories<br />

a. Electronics System <strong>and</strong> Measurement Lab<br />

This lab is basically developed for the experiments <strong>of</strong> subjects like Basic Electronics, Digital Logic Design, Circuit Analysis <strong>and</strong><br />

Amplifiers & Oscillators, etc. The lab is equipped with latest equipments <strong>and</strong> all required s<strong>of</strong>tware packages used for simulation<br />

purpose<br />

b. Microprocessor <strong>and</strong> Computer Architecture Lab<br />

Experiments for the subject like Microprocessor Systems, Microcontroller <strong>and</strong> Embedded Systems, are conducted in this<br />

laboratory. The lab is equipped with latest equipments <strong>and</strong> all required s<strong>of</strong>tware packages used for simulation purpose.<br />

DEPARTMENT OF TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING<br />

c. Antenna <strong>and</strong> RF Lab<br />

This lab is basically developed for the experiments <strong>of</strong> subjects like Antenna <strong>and</strong> Wave Propagation, RF & Microwave <strong>Engineering</strong>,<br />

Mobile & Wireless Communication <strong>and</strong> Satellite Communication. The lab is equipped with latest equipments <strong>and</strong> all required<br />

s<strong>of</strong>tware packages used for simulation purpose.<br />

d. Computing Lab<br />

The purpose <strong>of</strong> this lab is to conduct the practical work for various subjects like Introduction to Computer, Object Oriented<br />

Programming <strong>and</strong> Numerical Methods etc. This lab is equipped with all the necessary hardware <strong>and</strong> s<strong>of</strong>tware facilities..<br />

e. Telecommunication <strong>Engineering</strong> Lab<br />

The purpose <strong>of</strong> this lab is to conduct the simulation work for various subjects like Computer Communication Network, Digital<br />

Communication, Antenna & Wave Propagation, etc. This lab is equipped with all the necessary hardware <strong>and</strong> s<strong>of</strong>tware facilities.<br />

f. Communication Systems Lab<br />

This lab is basically developed for the experiments <strong>of</strong> subjects like Communication System, Digital Communication <strong>and</strong> Analog<br />

Communication etc. The lab is equipped with latest equipments <strong>and</strong> all required s<strong>of</strong>tware packages used for simulation purpose.<br />

g. Final Year Project Lab<br />

This lab is basically developed for Final Year Students for the development <strong>and</strong> completion <strong>of</strong> their final year projects.
