This lab <strong>of</strong>fers practical sessions for subjects: Network Security,<br />
Computer Communication & Networks <strong>and</strong> Communication<br />
Systems.<br />
Technical Societies in the<br />
Department<br />
Technical societies are established in the department that<br />
serves guideline for the students to choose their pr<strong>of</strong>ession<br />
after their degree. Students entering in first semester are given<br />
orientation about these societies so that they can later on join<br />
these societies to have technical grooming.<br />
The major objective <strong>of</strong> these technical societies is to develop<br />
strong interaction among the scholars <strong>and</strong> faculty in their<br />
corresponding field <strong>of</strong> interests. Under this umbrella scholars<br />
from <strong>undergraduate</strong> <strong>and</strong> postgraduate programs <strong>and</strong><br />
members from the faculty share their work with each other.<br />
Each society is headed by a specialist <strong>of</strong> respective field from<br />
the faculty. Other faculty members also coordinate. One<br />
student is also selected as student chair for each society.<br />

This Society is a group <strong>of</strong> people who are committed to the<br />
advancement <strong>of</strong> robotics in the university through innovation<br />
<strong>and</strong> sharing <strong>of</strong> expertise, information <strong>and</strong> experience. Society<br />
arranges seminars, workshops <strong>and</strong> conferences on Microcontrollers,<br />
FPGAs <strong>and</strong> Processors. It hopes to serve as a<br />
catalyst for preparing students for the competencies required<br />
by industries today <strong>and</strong> in the near future. This society also<br />
aims to organize a national level competition in the university.<br />

Signal <strong>and</strong> image processing is an enabling field with diverse<br />
