Successful modeling of illumination​<br />

systems is a complex task that requires​<br />

powerful non-sequential raytracing​<br />

software such as TracePro. But​optimizing<br />

an illumination system​requires a<br />

way to automatically vary​model<br />

parameters so that specific​illumination<br />

distributions are achieved.​IB/E and<br />

Lambda Research are proud to​announce<br />

IB/E's new optimization​module for<br />

TracePro, ”non-linear​optimization in<br />

TracePro“, which makes​the optimization<br />

of illumination systems​possible in<br />

TracePro.<br />

<strong>The</strong> design of Illumination systems can​<br />

be based on a wide range of diverse​<br />

requirements, but often the most​<br />

important requirement is maximizing​<br />

intensity of light distribution. IB/E's​<br />

optimization module allows to take​<br />

account for uniformity of light​distribution<br />

also. As the figure shows, an​increase<br />

in uniformity can be achieved​with a<br />

slight loss in intensity.<br />
