Duplicate Bridge
The Duplicate Bridge Club plays a casual and friendly
game of Bridge every Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon
in the Emerson/Franklin Room of the Anthem Center.
Players should arrive by 6:00 on Wednesdays; play begins
promptly at 6:15, ending by 9:30. On Saturdays, players
should arrive by noon; play begins promptly at 12:15, finishing
around 4:00. Our game is not ACBL sanctioned, but we do try
to follow generally the ACBL standards of play. New members
are welcome at any game. Membership dues for a year are $10.

July 11: our guest speaker will be BOB
DANCER, the best known video poker
player and writer in the country today,
who won more than $1 million during
a six-month period between September
2000 and March 2001. His talk on
“Million Dollar Video Poker” shares the secrets for winning
from a top video poker professional. Check out his website at

August: There will be no Anthem Financial Club program —
travel time!
September 19: Program will feature representatives from
Ameriprise Financial. Please note the change in date to the
third Wednesday of the month.
October 10: Program will feature a major fund manager from
the Boston headquarters of Fidelity Investments, the largest
mutual fund investment firm in the world.
November 14: Program we are working on a special guest
speaker — more to follow!
December 13: We’ll have our annual Holiday Gala. The
Anthem Financial Club Board of Directors is planning on a
“HOLIDAY PIZZA PARTY!” This event is always a lot of
fun. Please note that the date is a Thursday, rather than the
usual Wednesday.
The mission of the Anthem Financial Club: “To provide
timely financial and educational information to our club
membership in an interesting professional format.” We have
guest speakers on the second Wednesday of each month at
7:00 pm in the Delaware Room at Anthem Center. All Sun
City Anthem residents are invited to attend their first meeting
as our guest.

The club meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 9:30

Hiking & Outing Club
CLUB MEETING – There will be hiking trips but NO
General Hiking Club meeting in July.

Summer is monsoon season ..... so be sure to double check
the website before each hike for any last minute changes
due to weather and/or trail conditions.
New Hiker Series: Are you new to hiking? Join our “New
Hiker Series.” You will learn everything you need to know
about beginning hiking. We will start off on a very easy hike.
