Vibration-Isolated Equipment Platform, 66 Series
For vibration isolation of smallequipment,
such as microscopes andanalytical
balances, TMC and LINOS havedeveloped
the 66 Series compactequipment
platform as an alternative tothe full-size
63 Series Laboratory Tables.This platform
features an exceptionallylow profile and
outstanding vibrationisolation characteristics.
Its lightweightand compact
design makes it easy totransport and
flexible for use in a varietyof applications.
Any stable table issuitable for
setting up the platform.Typical applications
include thefollowing:
••
Microscopy
••
Cell injection
••
Electrophysiology
••
Measurement and test technology
••
Metrology
Low-profile enclosure
The enclosure base and sides are made of
electropolished stainless steel. The
vibration-isolated working platform
consists of a 6.5-mm thick, powder-coat
painted steel plate. Because the platform
is only 76 mm high, it enables the user to
work in a relaxed position even over
relatively long periods, provided it is set
up on a table with a standard height.
CPSvibration isolators
The patented CPSvibration isolation
system integrated into the housing
features low natural frequency with both
vertical and horizontal vibration
isolation. As a result, the system excels at
damping low-frequency disturbances
caused by vibration in buildings and
randomly occurring vibration, such as
traffic noise and footfall soundgenerated
by people walking by.
The isolation system uses only air to
operate, with the required operating
pressure being approx. 5.5 bar (about
80psi). A self-leveling air spring isolator
ensures that the plate returns to its
original position when different
equipment weights are loaded. It is easy
to connect the system to an available
compressed air source or a compressor,
without requiring any tools, as a
self-sealing tube attachment is utilized
forconnection.
