Reports Dr. Isoye reported that 1) out <strong>of</strong> 70 entries submitted by faculty in <strong>the</strong> H<strong>is</strong>tory Div<strong>is</strong>ion, <strong>the</strong> work <strong>of</strong> 17<br />

students was chosen to run in <strong>the</strong> 2013 Interpretations, OPRF's annual journal <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> best student h<strong>is</strong>tory<br />

writing; 2) Congratulations to Jonah Philion, who won <strong>the</strong> Class <strong>of</strong> 1940 H<strong>is</strong>tory Writing Award for h<strong>is</strong><br />

piece entitled, "From 'H<strong>is</strong>tory's Greatest Joke' to 'Crucial Watershed': The H<strong>is</strong>toriography <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Crimean<br />

War <strong>and</strong> Why it <strong>is</strong> Now on Your Bookshelf." 3) Briana Williams <strong>and</strong> Nia Smith won first place in,<br />

respectively, oratory <strong>and</strong> filmmaking, at <strong>the</strong> state ACT-SO competition. They will now compete in <strong>the</strong><br />

nationals in Florida; 4) Briana Williams will host as-yet-to-be-named TV program, which will replace <strong>the</strong><br />

Tyler Milsap show; 5) 735 students reg<strong>is</strong>tered for <strong>the</strong> 26-day summer school session, 255 students<br />

reg<strong>is</strong>tered for <strong>the</strong> first 13-day session; <strong>and</strong> 79 reg<strong>is</strong>tered for <strong>the</strong> second 13-day session; 6) 95 students<br />

enrolled in Driver Education <strong>and</strong> 114 students enrolled in Special Education classes. 7) The credit<br />

recovery classes in Engl<strong>is</strong>h, math <strong>and</strong> h<strong>is</strong>tory were structured as a combined group <strong>and</strong> four teachers<br />

worked with as many as 60 students at one time to make up credit for failed courses. These students may<br />

have <strong>the</strong> opportunity to be on track for graduation if <strong>the</strong>y can make up <strong>the</strong>se credits. 8) More than 2,100<br />

have reg<strong>is</strong>tered for <strong>the</strong> 22 different sports camps, from 4-year-olds in swim lessons through current<br />

varsity athletes; 9) The summer musical Once Upon a Mattress runs <strong>the</strong> weekend <strong>of</strong> July 19; 10) Faculty<br />

member Aaron Podolner wrote <strong>the</strong> book How Would You H<strong>and</strong>le It?; <strong>and</strong> 12) Ms. Witham for thanked all<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> work she had given to <strong>the</strong> faculty, staff, <strong>and</strong> admin<strong>is</strong>trators.<br />

Ms. Witham provided a presentation on <strong>the</strong> Preliminary Budget. Also IEP <strong>and</strong> Video Management<br />

S<strong>of</strong>tware RFPs were presented.<br />

Dr. Alson presented an update on <strong>the</strong> work <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Strategic Plan. Dr. Isoye presented an update on <strong>the</strong><br />

Finance Adv<strong>is</strong>ory Committee.<br />
