Response
The drawing referred to specifically focuses on the view from Jersey Street, in particular,
illustrating the proposed driveway and pedestrian access from the development to Jersey
Street.

Question 1
Is it possible to ask the applicant to remove the crossover to the front unit and turn the
garage sideways to allow access from the common accessway serving the rear two
units?
Response
This would result in the front setback of the front property being almost entirely paved or
built upon allowing very little opportunity for garden area and thereby detracting from the
appearance of the development within the overall streetscape. As such, it would not be
supported from a planning point of view.

Response
It was accepted that this was an omission and that it would be rectified.
4. PETITIONS
A petition signed by 371 residents of City Beach was submitted by Wendy Appleyard, 14
Lentara Crescent, City Beach calling on the Town to "fund and establish community
security patrols as soon as possible. To be presented at the Town's Community and
Resources Committee meeting 12 December 2011."
Moved by Cr Langer, seconded by Cr Bradley
That in accordance with Clause 3.5 of the Standing Orders, the petition be received
and referred to the appropriate Committee.
