Committee Meeting 12 December 2011
During discussion, concern was expressed regarding the availability of parking for beach users
not participating in the event. The Administration was requested to discuss parking options
with the event organiser.
COUNCIL DECISION:
(COMMITTEE AND ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION)
Moved by Cr Langer, seconded by Cr Carr
That:-
(i) the SIDS and Kids Sunshine Beach Run to be held on City Beach on Sunday, 12
February 2012 be approved, at a cost of $3,108 (inc GST) plus a bond of $5,000,
subject to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the event
organiser, I Katcher Events (IKE) and the Town;

following the conduct of the 2012 event, an evaluation be undertaken by I
Katcher Events (IKE) and a further report presented to Council;
subject to a satisfactory evaluation and report to Council, approval to conduct the
event in 2013 and 2014 be considered.
