• Endemic in Northeastern USA, Puerto Rico, Colombia,<br />
Israel, <strong>and</strong> Greece<br />
• K. pneumoniae, other Enterobacteriaceae,<br />
Acinetobacter, P. aeruginosa<br />
• <strong>ESBL</strong> that also hydrolyzes carbapenems<br />
• Extensive multidrug resistance
