NFPA 1901-03 changed the way you are permitted<br />
to mount SCBA units in your emergency vehicles.<br />
WALKAWAY ® brackets with spring clips will no<br />
longer meet the new standard and may not be used<br />
in crew areas.<br />
You may still purchase spring clip style brackets, but<br />
they may only be used in side compartments or in<br />
stationary applications.<br />
Only mechanical and “Load & Lock” style WALK-<br />
AWAY brackets may be used in crew areas. The “Load<br />
& Lock” is available in two ways (both styles available<br />
with the EZ-OUT strap and release set up):<br />
1. Knock-down bracket (KD-ULLH) requires<br />
assembly in the field. Each bracket consists of a<br />
backplate, short footplate, two seats, “Load & Lock”<br />
strap assembly and cautionary labels. All hardware<br />
is included and assembly should require a few<br />
minutes time with a Torx T-30 driver and 7/16”<br />
wrench.<br />
Spring clip style WALKAWAY Brackets are available<br />
in two ways:<br />
1. Knock-down brackets requiring assembly in the<br />
field. This is the most economical way to purchase<br />
a WALKAWAY bracket. All hardware for assembly<br />
is included, and assembly should require only a few<br />
minute time with a Torx T-30 driver and 7/16” wrench.<br />
Knock-down brackets are available in six ways:<br />
KD-UN Standard coating on clips<br />
KD-UH High Cycle coating on clips<br />
KD-LP Low Profile clips<br />
SC-50-H Scott Air Pak bracket<br />
KD-FH Full High Cycle coating on clips<br />
KD-FHLP Low Profile clips with full High<br />
Cycle coating<br />
2. Assembled bracket (ULLH) is pre-assembled<br />
and ready for mounting in your application.<br />

2. Assembled brackets. UH and UN brackets comes<br />
with the clips (2) permanently affixed to the backplate<br />
by steel rivets. All other brackets come with the<br />
clips (2) or seats (2) bolted to the backplate. All<br />
brackets have the footplate bolted to the universal<br />
backplate (positioned as required). Bracket is ready to<br />
be mounted and is available in four ways:<br />
