It is hereby informed to all the concerned that, Under Graduate examinations
(Regular/Supplementary) are scheduled in Nov 2008. In this context, detailed programme
of examination is enclosed herewith for your information and necessary action. You are
now requested to place your demand for examination forms and therefore forward the
application accordingly.

I (A) PROGRAMME OF EXAMINATIONS
1) Time Table :
University shall conduct theory examination as per Circular No. 09/2008
dated 10/06/2008.
2) Syllabus & Scheme of Examination :
Syllabus and scheme of examination will be as such published on University
website (www.muhsnashik.com) or as notified by the University.
3) Examination Centres :
List of examination centre will be displayed on or before 31/08/2008. The
University reserves its discretion to allot a centre anywhere in state of Maharashtra.
Under no circumstances, the centre once allotted shall be changed by the University.
4) Admit Card :
The admit card will be sent by speed post to the colleges nearly 4 weeks prior
to commencement of the examination. Candidate must not mutilate the Admit card
or change any entry made therein.
5) Declaration of results :
University shall declare the results of examination as per provision made in
ordinance 1/2002 (Amended), and MUHS Act 1998.

I (B) INSTRUCTION FOR FILLING AND SENDING THE EXAMINATION
APPLICATION FORM
1) College shall arrange to collect examination forms required, on or before
01/09/2008. Please note that issue of examination forms on credit basis is not
permissible and therefore at the time of collection requisition should be
accompanied by a requisite demand draft drawn in favour of, "Registrar, MUHS,
Nashik" payable at Nashik.
2) A specimen of examination form is displayed on the University website
(www.muhsnashik.com) for ready reference. The form can be downloaded and
forwarded to the University with 20 Rupees form fee per student, by way of demand
draft drawn in favour of "Registrar, MUHS, Nashik" payable at Nashik.
3) The college should accept the examination forms from the candidates without late
fee upto 15/09/2008. The college should submit the examination forms to the
University upto 22/09/2008 with the demand draft of examination fee drawn in
favour of "Registrar, MUHS, Nashik", payable at Nashik.
4) The college should accept the examination forms from the candidates with late fee
upto 23/09/2008. The college should submit the examination forms to the University
upto 29/09/2008 with the demand draft of examination fee along with late fee
drawn in favour of "Registrar, MUHS, Nashik", payable at Nashik.
5) The college should accept the examination forms from the candidates with late fee
and additional late fee upto 30/09/2008. The college should submit the examination
forms to the University upto 06/10/2008 with the demand draft of examination fee
alongwith late fee and additional late fee drawn in favour of "Registrar, MUHS,
Nashik", payable at Nashik. The examination forms shall not be accepted after
06/10/2008.
6) The Examination Forms of applicants being submitted by the college to the
University must accompany a Demand Draft of any National Bank drawn in favour
of the "The Registrar, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik", payable at
Nashik. The amount of the demand draft will be the total of the fees paid by all the
students whose application forms are being submitted. The examination forms
without demand draft shall not be accepted. No cash will be accepted in any case.
7) All examination forms with demand draft shall be sent with college representative,
who is looking after the work of examination forms. Examination forms should not
be sent by post.
8) Candidates should not be sent to University for submission of examination forms.
9) It will be the sole responsibility of the concerned Dean/Principal/Director to verify
and certify the attendance of the students, grant of term, eligibility and the
admission date. The examination forms of the students who do not fulfill the
requisite conditions should not be sent to the University.
10) The college shall print their own fee receipt book in triplicate. Original receipt will be
given to the candidate, second copy will be attached to the examination form and the
college will retain the third copy.

11) Students appearing fresh for First Year Examination of all professional courses
under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences should enclose a photocopy of
their admission letter from competent authority.
12) Specimen copy of the examination form should be displayed on all notice boards.
13) Please fill up the examination forms in the lecture hall under the instructions of
senior teacher, so that the forms will be filled in a proper manner.
14) It should be noted that submission of audited statement of Account of Theory &
Practical advances (given for May/June 2008) given to respective centres is
mandatory by 01/09/2008. Examination forms from those colleges that have not
submitted the audited statement of account of expenditure of previous examinations
shall not be accepted.
15) The revenue stamp fee is to be charged to the applicants.
16) Before sending the examination forms to the University, the College should arrange
the forms of fresh & repeater candidate separately in alphabetical order (by the
surnames of applicants) and attach a list of applicants, in duplicate (one for
Examination Section along with forms, the second for o/c) bearing the particulars of
the fees paid.
17) Candidate seeking admission to examination is required: -
To go through the information carefully and acquaint themselves with all
requirements.
To satisfy eligibility criteria so as to appear for the examination.
To submit application to the college in the prescribed examination form with
necessary enclosures which should be complete in all respects.
To avoid overwriting, cutting, erasing etc. on the form and incomplete form
may lead to rejection and should be avoided, any error arising on this account
shall be the responsibility of the candidate.
To affix firmly two recent high contrast of size 35mm x 45mm preferably
colored Photographs (Taken after 01/09/2008) with gum/fevicol (Not to be
pinned or stapled) within the space provided for it. It should be duly attested
by the Head of the Institution where candidate is studying. The Photographs of
the candidate should be attested in such a way that part of signature is on
photograph and part of signature is on application form. Attestation should be
done on the bottom part of photograph so that photograph is not defaced.
18) Request for change or correction of any information, once given in the application,
will not be entertained under any circumstance.

I (C) ELIGIBILITY FOR COLLEGIATE CANDIDATE
1) Strictly as per Notifications No. 24/2007 (Cut off dates), 32/2003 (Permissible
attempts for MBBS, BDS, & Allied Courses), 03/2004 (Permissible attempts for
Ayurved & Unani Courses), 04/2004 (Permissible attempts for Homoeopathic
Courses) & 14/2008 (Internal Assessment Marks for all faculties), Deans/Principals
are requested to bring these notifications to the notice of students and all concerned
and certify their eligibility accordingly. No deviation from these notifications is
permitted.
2) A collegiate candidate, desirous of taking an University examination, shall prosecute
a regular course of study in one or more Colleges / Departments / Recognized
Institutions affiliated to the University for the course leading to the examination for
which he/she applies for not less than the period prescribed in the concerned
Ordinance i.e. Ordinance 01/2002 (Amended).
Explanation: 'Prosecution of a regular course of study' means attendance at not less
than 75 % of the lectures delivered in each subject of the course of instruction and
80% in practical work for the examination during the total academic period.
Attendance in both cases shall be calculated till such date before the commencement
of the written examination or upto the end of the academic term whichever is later.
3) It will be the sole responsibility of the concerned Director/Dean/Principal to verify
and certify the attendance of the applicants and the admission date. The examination
forms of the applicants who do not fulfill the required conditions as mentioned
above should not be sent to the University. Grant of Term will be certified by
Director/Dean/Principal strictly as per Notification No. 24/2007 dated 01/12/2007.
He/She is not empowered to certify "Grant of Term" to students admitted after the
Cut-off-dates mentioned in the said notification.
4) (i) A candidate who is unable to present himself for an examination or a part
thereof shall not be entitled to any refund of his/her fees. However, an applicant
who is found ineligible for an examination shall be entitled to refund of ¾ th of the
net examination fee paid.
(ii) If a candidate suppresses some vital information or gives false information to
appear at an examination for which he/she is not eligible or entitled, the total
amount of fee paid by him/her shall be forfeited. He/she may be debarred for one
term from appearing in further examination and/or fine of Rs.500/- will be
imposed. However, in case of subsequent indulgence of similar nature, the
period of debarment may be extended up to three terms.

PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED DURING EXAMINATION
1) The examination rooms/halls shall be open 30 minutes before the commencement of
examination. Candidate should occupy their seats immediately after opening the
examination hall. If the candidates do not report in time, they are likely to miss
general instructions to be announced in the examination hall.
2) Candidate must show, on demand, their admit card for admission in the
examination hall. A candidate who does not possess the admit card issued by the
University shall not be permitted to appear for examination without prior
permission of University by Centre Incharge.
3) A Seat indicating his/her exam seat number will be allocated to each candidate.
Candidates should find out and occupy their allotted seats only. Any candidate if
found to have changed room or seat on his/her own other than allotted to him/her,
his/her candidature shall be cancelled and no plea would be accepted for it.
4) A candidate who comes after the commencement of examination shall not be
permitted to appear for the examination.
5) Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual materials, calculators, slide rule, log
tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, bits
of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device except admit card & pen / pencil
inside the examination hall (If any candidate in possession of any of the above item,
his/her candidature will be treated as having resorted to unfair means, his/her
current examination will be cancelled and also he/she will be debarred for future
examination.)
6) No candidate, without special permission of invigilator or centre I/C, will leave
his/her seat or examination room until the full duration of paper is over. Candidate
should not leave the room without handing over answer sheet to concerned
invigilator.
7) Tea, Coffee, Cold drinks are not allowed to be taken into the examination rooms
during examination hours.
8) Ten minutes before the commencement of the paper, answer sheet shall be provided
to each candidate.
9) Five minutes before the commencement of examination, question paper shall be
provided to each candidate.
10) The examination will start exactly as per timetable provided by the University and
an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.

11) After completing the paper and before handing over to invigilators, the candidate
should check again all particulars required in the answer sheet have been
correctly written.
12) A warning bell will be given before closing time then candidate must stop writing.
13) Unfair Means: - Candidate shall maintain absolute silence and attend to their
question paper only. Any conversation and gesticulation or disturbance in the
examination hall shall be deemed as misbehaviour. If a candidate is found resorting
to unfair means or impersonating his/her candidature shall be cancelled and he/she
will be liable to be debarred from examination either permanently or for a specified
period according to the nature of offence. Please note that - if candidate provides
false/fraudulent information and appeared for examination and if it is detected
later on then his/her performance shall be cancelled by the University at any stage
as per the provision of the ordinance 1/2002 (Amended).
If any person or officer dealing with conduct of examination engages
himself/herself in act(s) that would result leakage of question paper(s) or attempt to
use or help in the use of unfair means in this examination, he/she shall be liable to
prosecution under the ordinance 1/2002 (Amended) and Indian Penal code.

(Nursing) and BASIC B. Sc. (Nursing) courses is 31 st Oct. 2007 as per DMER’s letter under

The Cut-off date for admission for first year courses of BPTH (New Revised) / BOTH
(New Revised) / BASLP (New-2005) / BPO (New revised) Course is 31 st Oct. 2007 as per
DMER’s letter under reference.
All first year students admitted in Academic Year 2007-2008 will be allowed to
keep academic term as per academic calendar published vide Maharashtra University of
Health Sciences, Nashik letter No. MUHS/R-248 dated 09/08/2007 based on their
respective dates of admission as mentioned above. Remaining students of all years
and courses will be entitled to keep both the academic terms of Academic year 2007-
08.
For late admitted (i.e. upto Cut Off date) candidates extra classes during
Holidays/Vacation should be planned at college level to make up the loss of academic
periods during the first term due to late admission and the certificate rendered accordingly.
In order to maintain academic standards, the prescribed eligibility criteria regarding
attendance and Internal Assessment to appear for university examinations shall be
followed scrupulously. The Colleges/Institutions shall evaluate the academic competence
of the students by conducting appropriate tests and adopting procedure as laid out in
Ordinance No. 1/2002 (Amended). Students who fulfils the eligibility criteria laid down
by respective Central Councils / University shall only be allowed to appear at the
ensuing university examination.

Commencement of Internship Training :- All final year students will only be allowed to
commence Internship Training immediately on being declared successful based on the result
published on the University website. No prior commencement of such training will be
recognized/allowed by the University.

The University will conduct two examinations for the academic year 2007-2008 for all
the courses recognised by the University, commencing on the dates mentioned below:-

Regarding Internal Assessment Marks For Nov./Dec.-2008 Examination
It has been observed that some of the colleges have approached the University for
change in Internal Assessment marks after initial submission OR even after declaration
of Final results on various frivolous grounds. No request for ‘change of marks’ can be
entertained once marks have been submitted by the College. It has therefore been
decided that hence forth Internal Assessment mark lists will only be accepted in case it
is signed by the student with counter signature of HOD / Dean of the college as
provided for in Ordinance 1/2002 (amended).
Liability of any clerical error at college level will rest with the Dean and HOD
