Tourism Sector Performance A Landmark Year for Singapore Tourism The numbers say it all – S$18.9 billion in tourism receipts and 11.6 million in international visitor arrivals. Indeed, 2010 was the best ever performance achieved by the tourism sector, and the momentum is expected to continue as Singapore transforms into a riveting travel destination with a compelling line-up of offerings for visitors. 34
Tourism Sector Performance Overview Celebrating a Remarkable Tourism Performance Riding on the wave of Asia’s recovery from the global economic crisis, Singapore rebounded strongly in tourism performance in 2010. Cumulative tourism receipts grew year-on-year by 49.6 per cent to hit a high of S$18.9 billion.
