not all venues have the capacity to offer a separate room for this
The Victorian Autism Conference 2012 is presented by Autism Victoria trading as Amaze: W: www.amaze.org.au
The thing I liked most about the conference was...
“
“
Location, excellent that I
could attend such a high
quality conference locally.
Material eas excellent. Food
was lovely.
“
I liked the concept of streaming by
age groups, and that I now have
the powerpoints of the sessions I
could not get to.
“ “
The keynote speakers in my opinion
were the best part of the conference.
They were fantastic and gave amazing
presentations.
“
The bringing together of people
with the same problems who
normally would not meet, and
sharing it, not feeling alone.
The amount of useful, relevant
information I was able to acquire; the
number of practical ideas I gained and
how easy they will be to start using.
“
“
The opportunity to meet with
others working in the field.
“
I am always searching for more strategies,
but this conference was great as it keeps you
mindful of the daily struggles our young people
with ASD face. Plus it raises awareness of
autism.
A focus on adults too - as they are
often forgotten.
The session times stuck to the
schedule so it was easier to move
from one to another.
“
“
Able to switch and change streams
easily without ‘lockout’ which was
wonderful!
I learned an incredible
amount to take back to the
classroom.
