The Testboy TV 430N is a digital insulation tester boasting three selectable test voltages 250, 500 and 1000 VDC with
which it is easy to check the insulation resistance of devices, electrical equipment and circuits. It also features a continuity
tester and AC voltmeter to round off the spectrum of applications for which this tester can be deployed.
The most important aspect of an insulation resistance measurement is the exclusion of any capacitance. This is achieved
by undertaking measurements with DC voltage. To obtain meaningful results the test voltages and test current are defined
so that the influence exerted by the current or voltage dependent resistances remains the same. The initial test
measurement of insulation resistance must be carried out between each active conductor and earth.
