The Testboy 26 is a cable tracer that simplifies the task of searching for cables buried in walls or routed through cable
ducts.
The depth to which the Testboy 26 can detect cables depends on the type of wall (for example, brick, plaster, concrete).
A padded case with belt loop is included in scope of delivery. This ensures both devices are stowed away reliably for safe
transport.
Alligator clips or the modular connector fitted to the end of a cable modulate a carrier signal from the transmitter. That
allows the other end of the cable to be detected quickly and precisely - without having to make direct contact or strip the
insulation from the cable. The transmitter is voltage-proof up to 400V.
The Testboy 26 is able to exactly identify twin conductors (for example in telecommunications engineering).
As well as being equipped with a socket for earphones for working in loud surroundings, the sensitivity of the easy-to-use
receiver is infinitely adjustable. The user can optionally select it the transmitter transmits either a continuous or alternating
tone. The integrated continuity tester detects short-circuits quickly and reliably.
