Utilising current clamps makes it possible to measure AC and DC current without first disconnecting the operating
voltage. This principle avoids all possible dangerous situations occurring, such as short-circuits.
Current clamps can also be equipped to carry out other measurement functions, such as voltage, resistance and
continuity tests.
Simple and straightforward operation are just two of the particularly noteworthy advantages of a current clamp. The
jaws of the current clamp completely enclose the live conductor under test. During the test it is possible to read the
value via a digital or analogue display.
