3.5 EMPLOYMENT
Respondents were asked a number of questions to elicit their employment status at the time of
the survey and continuity of employment in the 12 months prior to the survey. Table 3.6.1 shows this
information for women, according to different background characteristics. Fifty-seven percent of women
were working at the time of the survey, 7 percent worked during the 12 months prior to the
