Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsps. vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened Hershey cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until
light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, then add the vanilla.
3. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa, baking soda,
and salt; gradually mix into the creamed mixture.
4. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto parchment lined cookie
sheets.
5. Bake 9 minutes in the preheated oven. Cookies will be soft
and still look slightly doughy.
6. Let set and cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes, then remove
from sheet onto wire rack to cool completely.
Poppy Seed
Salad Dressing
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup cider vinegar
4 1/2 tsps. finely chopped onion
3 tsps. ground mustard (which I forgot to put in,
but I bet it is a great addition)
1 tsp. poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup canola oil
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients.
2. Slowly add oil, while whisking briskly. Cover and refrigerate
until serving.
