Book Club Meetings
THURSday, DEC 1st & Jan 5th ~ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The Hampton Lake Book Club meets the first Thursday
of every month in the Lakehouse. Everyone is welcome
to join. The reading list for 2012 will be decided during

Gingerbread Houses & Santa Visit
FRIday, DECEMber 9th ~ 5:00 pM - 7:00 PM
Join us for a fun night of making Gingerbread
Houses! Will your house be Lowcountry style,
a log cabin or a Swiss chalet? That’s for you
to decide! Bring your decorating ideas, we’ll
supply the Gingerbread Houses and decorating
materials. Santa will also stop by for a visit. Cost
is $15 per Gingerbread House including supplies.

Boat Parade/Music/Holiday Dinner
saturday, december 17th
2nd Annual Boat Parade & Music ~ 4:00 pM - 5:00 PM
Holiday Dinner ~ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us at the Lakehouse for holiday festivities! We
encourage Hampton Lake boat owners to decorate
their boats and participate in the Boat Parade. Prizes
will be given for boat decorations. Boats will meet at
the Lakehouse docks at 4:00pm. We will have music
in the Lakeview Room and light snacks from 4:00pm-
5:00pm at the Lakehouse. Following the music and boat
parade, we will have a Holiday Dinner prepared by Chef Tim and the Backwater
Bill’s team starting at 6:00pm. Contact Catherine, 843.836.7463 or cguscio@

Christmas Bird Count
friday, december 16th ~ 8:00 aM - 10:00 aM
The Christmas Bird Count, the CBC, is
an annual event sponsored by the National
Audubon Society in over 2,160 “count
circles” from Canada to Central America and
the Caribbean. Count circles which must be
registered are 15 miles in diameter and cannot
overlap. Our circle is named Sun City/Okatie
Circle and includes Sun City, Rose Hill, Hampton Hall, Hampton Lake,
Spring Island, Callawassie, Oldfield, Belfair and Hilton Head Lakes. Cost of
the program is offset by a donation of $5 from each participant. Contact Ron

Meet Your Neighbors
FRIday, dec 16th & jan 20th ~ 5:30 pm - 7:00 PM
Meet Your Neighbors night continues to be a hit every
3 rd Friday of the month! Grab a drink at Backwater Bill’s
then head into the Lakeview Room and visit with your
fellow owners! We encourage you to wear holiday attire
December 16 th . Prizes will be given to the most festively
dressed! Reservations are appreciated especially for

Fishing Club Meeting

Join us for our informative Fishing Club meetings.
The Fishing Club meets every 2 nd Saturday of the
month and covers a seasonal fishing topic and/
or a demonstration. Anyone is welcome to join at

New Year’s Eve Party

Ring in the New Year with us at Hampton
Lake! We will have a lovely dinner prepared
by Celebrations Events, Backwater Bill’s will
be serving drinks including a complimentary
champagne toast at midnight, with live
entertainment featuring the Cellus Band.
The band is comprised of several vocalists, a
saxophonist, keyboardist and drummer. They’re a real crowd pleaser, and
play a variety of music from Motown to Beach Music to popular dance hits.
They have opened for many well known artists including the Temptations,
Oakridge Brothers and MC Hammer. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes for
this popular event. Space is limited and available on a first come, first serve

Chili Cook-Off
saturday, january 14th ~ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Join us for our annual Beer & Chili Cook-Off! Bring
your best chili recipe for a fun competition with fellow
owners. Backwater Bill’s will have special beer selections
to pair with the chili. Everyone is welcome to join in
and vote on their favorite chili recipe. Prizes will be
given to the winners. Entry fee for chili contestants
is free, $5 per person to participate and judge.

Italian Night
saturday, january 28th ~ 6:00 pM - 8:00 PM
Mama mia! Join us for one of our most popular
evenings of the year, Italian night! Chef and his
Backwater Bill’s team will prepare an array of
Italian dishes for your dining pleasure. Danielle
will have some special wine and drink selections to
compliment the food. Patrick will top it off with
some delectable desserts! Please check the Blog
for menu and pricing closer to the event date. Reservations are required for
