POISE APPLICATIONS CHAPTER 6 Administrative Systems Query (ASQ) The Administrative Systems Query (ASQ) component of DMS-Plus is a utility that is designed to assist administrative office personnel with their reporting needs by selecting, ordering, displaying, and printing information through simple English-like commands. SkyLite enhances the user orientation of ASQ with its graphical features and buttons for commonly used commands. To switch ASQ into SkyLite’s graphical style, you must issue the screen mode command at the ASQ command prompt: ASQ> SET MODE SCREEN The lower portion of the screen contains dialog boxes with a set of options -- File, Field, Report, each on a separate tab. Click the FILE tab to enter specifications for the data file(s) to be accessed. CHAPTER 6 POISE APPLICATIONS Selecting files to query Click the INSERT button to add a set of criteria in the selection window. Click the UPDATE button to register changes to an existing set of criteria or to add a subsequent set of criteria. Click the REMOVE button to erase a set of criteria.
