Planning. Commission,. Government. <strong>of</strong>. India..The.<br />
program.was.conceived.with.the.objective.<strong>of</strong>.giving.<br />
young. researchers,. teachers. and. development.<br />
practitioners. an. orientation. about. different.<br />
dimensions.and.aspects.<strong>of</strong>.human.development.so.<br />
as. to. build. up. their. capacity. to. contribute. to. this.<br />
field.through.research.and.implementation..A.total.<br />
<strong>of</strong>. 37. young. scholars. from. different. disciplines.<br />
participated. in. the. Program.. The. YSP. series. was.<br />
directed.and.coordinated.by.Dr..Shovan.Ray.<br />
The. <strong>Institute</strong>. started. a. new. course. on. Research.<br />
Methodology,. which. is. compulsory. for. MPhil.<br />
and. PhD. students..We. were. glad. to. host. eminent.<br />
economists.like.Pr<strong>of</strong>..Anjan.Mukherjee,.Jawaharlal.<br />
Nehru.University.and.Roger.Guesnerie,.Pr<strong>of</strong>essor.<br />
at.Collège.de.France.and.President.<strong>of</strong>.Paris.School.<br />
