You can leave the pad screwed to the floor or you can<br />

glue the pad to the floor with styrene cement for an even<br />

stronger bond. I used Testor’s liquid cement.<br />

That’s it. Put the car on the track and apply power.<br />

If you assembled the trucks correctly, the lights should<br />

come on. The lights are not constant intensity and could<br />

stand the addition of a controlled lighting circuit. I also<br />

noticed that in operation the lights flickered quite a bit.<br />

That tells me the trucks could use phosphor-bronze wipers<br />

to improve electrical pickup. Both of those, however, are<br />

projects for another day.<br />
