In addition to the Scientific staff of the Institute the library services were availed by the scientists from Geology and Butany Departments, Lucknow University, National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow; Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow; Geological Survey of India, Lucknow; Dibrugarh University, Assam; Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehra Dun; Geological Survey of India, Calcutta; Atomic Energy Commission, Bangia Desh; Geological Survey of Queensland, Australia; Komorov Botanical Institute, Leningrad and various other research organisations. MUSEUM Every year the Museum draws a large number of students of Botany and Geology of Indian Universities and colleges to supplement their knowledge about fossil plants. Representatives of 8 Institutions ami 28 individual scientists visited the Museum this year, besides a large number of Jay people.
The Institute sends out sets of fossil plants to different Institutions to help in the teaching of palaeobotany at these centres. Durirg this year such sets were sent to 6 Institutions-4 Indian and 2 foreign. 39 HERBARIUM The following table depicts the additions made to the stocks this year and the total number of specimens in the Herbarium.
